[From an article about influence of rock on baby names. Click to see the chart of how the name has risen]

#11 STEVIE

Stevie Nicks of Fleetwood Mac truly brought this name into the spotlight for girls. The name grew in popularity following the release of the best-selling album “Rumours” in 1977. In fact, Stevie is now more popular with girls than boys.

From an interview with Vanessa Carlton:

What’s the best thing about your friend Stevie Nicks you can tell me?

She’s the master of making the most comfortable bed, the most amazing sheets and mattress and pillows. It’s the most incredible bed I have ever slept in, and that’s a feat.

Well, now I want to know all about Stevie's mattress and linen choices. I want manufacturer names! I'm not saying I could afford it, but I want to find out.

Frette is nothing compared to Pratesi and some others.

Stevie did mention what sheets she used in not terribly long ago in an article about traveling (I think she was heading to Hawaii)... she talked about making sure she packed her organic, eco-friendly sheets (I remember looking them up when I read the article)... maybe someone can track back to that article...?

I think I remember. There was a list of items she couldn't travel without, including lipstick and such.

[This is from an article on puppies. I just can't believe that someone is quoting an IYD song -- a lesser one at that]

Dogster.com by Melvin Peña | Nov 24th 2015

http://www.dogster.com/lifestyle/whe...ppies-for-free

One of the 20th-century’s greatest literary voices — I can’t remember off the top of my head whether it was Flannery O’Connor or Stevie Nicks — once wrote that there’s nothing cheaper than free. This may be true in theory, but puppies are not theoretical.

Now imagine curling up to Stevie. The big hair curlers Stevie
with no makeup. It might take real silk for that. Not cotton.

Those curlers were just used to set her hair. She wouldn't sleep in those.

Agreed; that was her prepping for some sort of appearance. However I'm not sure she never sleeps in hair tools of some kind....

You would have to sleep with her and that freaking old-lady alpaca water bottle.. oy.

Yes, who knows what she does at night. Pony tail or hair net? Then some kind of night time moisturizer for the face. Lip balm.
