He just says it was a road romance and for the entire summer and tour they were monogamous and only saw each other.
This is not an interview where Joe is out of control and says wild things about Stevie.

They still talk about it today how he would pass out in the studio. There have been many Stern/Walsh interviews.....but not many of them are on youtube.
I'm sure that I've listened to it at least once because I remember distinctly him mumbling "Yeah....road ****..." when Stern was incredulous that he could have sex with her while she was overweight, and if BellaSoprano71 heard it too maybe the video was once online but then got cancelled.
I'm pretty sure now that it was an interview from the early 90s also because of this post I found on Buckinghamnicksinfo:

Anonymous asked: What are some of the negative things Joe has said about Stevie?

In the late-eighties to mid-nineties, he fairly frequently went on Howard Stern. He was in a terrible place regarding his personal life and addictions back then, and Howard egging him on didn’t help. I have never been able to find actual audio but by all accounts:
  • “in the early 90s he openly mocked her and even called her a “road f–k” on Howard Stern”
  • “I heard the whole thing. Joe was dogging Stevie on how fat she is. Howard the F - - k Sterns egg it on a bit. Howard shouldn’t talk, he so fugly….He wanted to know how Stevie was in bed when she was skinny…. Both slime balls…………. Something to that effect. It wasn’t nice.”
  • “Don’t forget Joe Walsh said on Howard Stern that he “musta fcucked Stevie Nicks a million billion times."”

The most recent quotes are from a Howard Stern interview he did a few years ago. He was much nicer at that point but enthusiasm apparently is difficult for him to summon up… He took FOREVER to remember which song she wrote for him, and thought it was called ‘Has Anyone Ever Wrote A Song For You’, hahah:

[Howard reads lyrics] She’d rather be alone than be without you. What the **** did you do to this girl? You must’ve banged her silly. Were you in love with her?

JW: [pause] As a sister. I mean, she’s like a soulmate, you know.

HS: You still talk to her?

JW: Once in a while.

HS: This was like in the 70s, right? I mean, was there a more beautiful, physically beautiful woman than Stevie Nicks? And all that talent. I mean, you would think that’s the whole package. I mean, that would be my fantasy.

RQ: Were you not into her?

JW: No, I was, Robin. That didn’t come out right. All I’m saying is that we were uh, uh, seeking refuge, kind of, in each others’ presence.

HS: Because you were both into drugs at that point.

JW: Kind of, yeah. There was that part of it but we were on the road, we had careers, we were both lonely -

HS: Why did you never marry her? Did the thought cross your mind at one point?

JW: No.

HS: You never thought that way, even in terms of like a powerful couple? Like 'oh my god, these two incredibly powerful people are involved’.

RQ: Or maybe that would’ve been too much.

JW: Well, the relationship came and ran its course as rock and roll relationships do.

HS: Does it get competitive? Like, do you sit there - and she was in Fleetwood Mac at that point, I guess -

JW: No, she wasn’t.

HS: She was a solo -

JW: Yeah.

HS: [?] Buckingham Nicks. And does it get competitive? Is that the problem? Like you could never really marry another singer songwriter because the two of you sit there and drive each other nuts with that stuff.

JW: What made it possible was that we toured together. And we spent all that time together.

HS: But you were not monogamous with her, so she probably got jealous too. Because knowing you, back in those days, you were not going to be limited to one woman, true? You weren’t going to be limited to one drink or one woman. You were an addict.

JW: We were both monogamous for that summer.

HS: That’s a pretty long time.

JW: Yeah.

RQ: A whole season! *laughs*

HS: Well, in rock and roll, that’s ten years.

JW: That’s a long time. When we stopped touring, we-

RQ: Drifted apart.

JW: Had to. Had to.

If someone wants to hear he talks about Stevie at 19:40, 41:40 and 47:24 in the video I posted. He isn't mean but he's not the greatest gentleman either, he seems very uncomfortable.

Default I never thought I could ever find joe walsh even more gross

EXCLUSIVE: 'He stripped me naked and tied me to the penthouse balcony.' Joe Walsh's stripper girlfriend tells how the Eagles guitarist had a taste for BDSM and cocaine in racy memoir
Kristin Casey, a stripper from Austin, hooked up with Joe Walsh in the late 1980s for a six-year wild ride through debauched drug and booze addictions
The first time they were together romantically, Kristin didn't know whether to expect 'mirror weirdness or passionate sex' - and instead had a bondage lesson
'Say please,' he instructed. 'When I did, I'd be pinched, caressed, or presented with things to kiss and lick'
She was seduced by first class airline flights, free champagne, and chauffeurs waiting for her in different cities holding a sign with her name on it
A pre-show cuddle, drinks and lines of cocaine, welcomed her in every city
Casey admits she had once been a meth addict and vowed not to return to those days but she joined Walsh in what he called 'monstering' - snorting voluminous amounts of cocaine
Her extreme coke habit had opened a hole in her septum. So the couple packed straws with coke and tried blowing it up each other’s butts
The relationship ended when Walsh went to rehab to join the Eagles reunion tour

One Christmas back in Austin, Walsh showered her with gifts that included clothing that Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks had given him during their time on tour together.

'We were pretty high most of the time' was his explanation of why Nicks gave him girl's clothing. 'That's kind of why we broke up.'

Stevie Nicks came back to the house one night. She didn't do any drugs but kept misplacing a handful of jewels she had with her.

She landed on the piano bench and played until they finally got her to step outside the door where her driver took over and got her in the car and drove her home.

Casey viewed the one-time Queen of Rock and Roll who sang some of the biggest chart toppers with Fleetwood Mac as 'ridiculouly ditzy'.

Poor Stevie. I hate that she gets talked about in this.

Joe Walsh gave this woman Stevie's clothes. He GAVE HER STEVIE'S CLOTHES.

I am more disgusted by that than I am by any kinky stuff he does with his girlfriend.

How much lower will my opinion of him drop if I read this book?

It's not his kinks themselves that I find gross, it's the total disregard of the personalities of any of the women he's been with. His sexual preferences recounted by this woman also totally seem like things he would impose to her rather than a shared aspect of their relationship.

This sounds a lot like the incident that she described when talking about Long Way To Go.

I know. Do I pass on the book or read it like a train wreck that I can't stop watching?

"But in that moment, a voice in her head told her that this was the man she was meant to marry. He was her soul mate, or so she envisioned."

What is it with Joe Walsh that makes women feel this way? Maybe it's this:
"At their second meeting, she was hot for him and kicked off her shoes, leapt in bed and waited for him to jump her.

Not so fast. He was holding back and wanted them to look at each other reflected in the bathroom mirror in candlelight." He's obviously another fan of the whole life is about good lighting theory.
I can only imagine Stevie's reaction to this after all these years. What did this girl say when he gave her Stevie's clothes for
Christmas? Thank you? It boggles the mind. Just from what I've read she seems to miss the fact entirely that their relationship was quid pro quo. And she has the nerve to say Stevie is ridiculously ditzy? What a hollow soul. Ugh.
They saved the best for last: "Casey returned to Austin, where she now works in the field of sex therapy as an intimacy coach and addiction specialist." Are you f++king kidding me?

I listened to the same interview I think, and he was a D**k. I couldn't believe how he talked about her. This wasn't all that long ago that we can blame drugs. This was a recent like within the past year or two? Howard Stern was like "She has said she would of left music for you" That asshole was like "Oh thats nice" or something to that effect. He had nothing nice to say about her at all.

Didn't she say recently she wouldn't go on his show? I don't blame her. It seems like quite a different world.
