Buckingham/Nicks: WOW!

I finally scored a copy of the "infamous" Buckingham/Nicks album in near mint condition. I am very impressed, both with the quality of the music and the quality of the recording itself. It sounds fantastic...who needs a CD reissue?

That thing is addicting!
I have had an excellent quality bootleg CD of it for a few years now which has been copied many times over for friends. When I first got it I literally could not stop listening to it.

I don't have a real favorite track because I just love them all! I did have my husband make me a CD with nothing but Frozen Love on it about ten times in a row, though! I put it on when I am in my office working, and it just carries me through the day.

I truly love it! I have a CD player in my car that hold six CD's, and one of them is always Buckingham Nicks.

It is really well produced and recorded. That's why Fleetwood was listening to it in the first place though, the producer was showing off the studio and his craft by playing Frozen Love.

Didn't Ken Caillat say that everybody's up for re-issuing a remastered ( / DVD-A) version but they're still looking for the original multi-tracks, which seem to have gone missing.

It just happens to be taking forever (to find them)......much longer then even a Lindsey solo

It IS an amazing album...very impressive for a debut!! Kudos to the dynamic duo!

I got a CD of it along with some demos from Ebay before I realized I could download all the songs from (now defunct

) Audio Galaxy. I also scored a mint copy of the LP from Ebay for 25 bucks..I was ECSTATIC when it came in the mail!!

Oh wow, I simply ADORE this album. Every single song is so strong and unique. And of course the harmonizing vocals of Stevie and Lindsey are absolutely amazing. I just have never gotten over the dynamic of the two of them singing together.

I'd have to say my favorites are Races are Run, Frozen Love, and Don't Let Me Down Again. But all of them are fantastic. I just don't understand how this album didn't take with people (of course it probably wasn't promoted very well

)

Anyway, I hope they re-release it someday, and give it the exposure it deserves.

For years I was so happy having a vinyl copy of this and then I went to a flea market and found the original vinyl release with it's gatefold album sleeve with a very cute picture of Lindsey and Stevi (as it was spelled on that album...ewww!) with also the lyrics printed inside!!! Very nice!

original cassette copy on eBay from a music store in Scotland for a mere $5.19, (It stayed on eBay for 5 days and I bid on it in the last 5 minutes), And it was in MINT condition, Looks like it was hardly ever played and well maintained...Only problem was getting used to hearing "Races Are Run" as the third song on Side 1 on my cassette...Plus it sounds different than the LP version because at the very end just before it fades out you can hear them just stop playing the music...Really weird, Brian J.
