This new VBO album made me get into a Rumours mood. I have been listening to it backward and forwards for the past few days. Hearing all those great songs on the VBO made me wanted to revert back to what got me into the Mac in the first place...the greatest album of all times---Rumours!

Thumbs up Let's see...

Mac-wise: Mirage, VBOFM & Tango...

Non-Mac: The Beatles-Dr.Ebbett's album remixes (BTW,Which SMOKE the EMI/Apple/Parliphone releases into dust) of Sgt.Pepper's (Mono/Stereo),Magical Mystery Tour(Mono/Stereo),Revolver (Mono/Stereo) & Rubber Soul (Mono/Stereo)...Plus the new "Sgt.Pepper's Trance" Remix CD...Very trippy to hear

Dream Theater-Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence, 4 Degrees Of Radio Edits (2000 Fan Club Cd) & Scenes From A Memory...

And Gary Moore-Wild Frontier...Still looking to get both "Run For Cover" & "Blues For Greeny" Peter Green tribute album..."Rockin' Every Nite, Rollin' To The Break Of Day" Brian J.

This puts me in the mood for some Beatles, but I've been enjoying (is that the word for it? more like drooling over) a couple of spiffed-up, remastered & repackaged classics I picked up online: "Stan Getz & the Cool Sounds" from '55 or '56, I think; & Ellington's "...& his mother called him Bill," which is just about the best send-off to a great songwriter ever recorded (Duke's lifelong friend & collaborator Billy Strayhorn died in the late 1960s, & the Ellington Orchestra went immediately into the studio to lay down these tracks -- all Strayhorn compositions).

It's amazing what they can do with sound quality nowadays. Both of these CDs sound much better than even the vinyl itself did the day it was released. I'm in Jazz Heaven. . . .

I was going to buy the remastered "Four Last Songs" that Jessye Norman recorded in the 1970s with Kurt Masur. But I put it back in the bin until payday. This work, by a dying Strauss, is one of my all-time favorites -- music I return to again & again because it actually ages with one & gains in poignancy.

Thought about buying the new Flaming Lips album, but it's been getting mediocre reviews by the Lips fans.
