Aida Cooper is an Italian pop singer who released a cover of "Stand Back" the same year as the original (1983), but only in her native country. Only available on vinyl, side a was a "Vocal Mix" while side b was a "Club Mix." The only mix I have is the "Vocal Mix."

From 2002 t0 2006, Linus Loves milked his cover version of "Stand Back" (which featured vocals from Sam Obernik) with yearly re-releases featuring new remixes in different geographical territories until Ultra Records give it an official U.S. release in 2007. The track was a big hit overseas in clubs and on the radio. (I will upload the video as well.)

Taking their cues from Linus Loves, dance act Pure Polly_Esther (they spell it with the underscore) recorded their own version of "Stand Back" around the same time, and their version also did well on the dance charts. I will upload their video as well. Available on CD & vinyl.

New major-label recording artist Sky Ferriera (Capitol Records), provided the vocals for this less aggressive cover of "Stand Back." This came out about a year ago. Her debut album in due in Feb and this will not be on it. Sky's version is only available digitally.

Signed to Sony Music in Australia, Stereo Soundclash released their cover in 2004, but only down under. It's available on CD.

Wienna is an Eurodance project, produced by The S.A.I.F.A.M group, owned by Mauro Farina and Giuliano Crivellente that utiliZes multiple vocalists. The female singer on this version is not credited.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program. Dave Aude, Morgan Page (nominated again for a Grammy this year) and Hani were all commissioned to remix Stevie's "Stand Back" in 2007, along with Ralphi Rosario, Starkillers (aka Nick Terranova), and Tracy Young. The label went with Young/Rosario/Page for the physical single, but most club DJs spun Dave Aude's mix. I will post the second half of the mixes tomorrow.
