George Hurrell did the cover for Lindsey's first album - Law and Order - too.
He was one of the greats in Hollywood from the 20's through the 40's.
Working with Fleetwood Mac was a unique thing for him and the band. He died in 92.

I love the Mirage cover, but love the polaroid art that Lindsey did for the inside even better.

I heard guys on a podcast Monday naming the cover of Law and Order as an album they initially didn't want to listen to, because of the way the cover looked.

I don't dislike it, but it's not Lindsey to me. It's something I hope he's embarrassed about. That doesn't mean that I'm embarrassed about it.
I'm good. If I still displayed albums in my house, it would have a prominent place on the rack.

Here's an outtake from the 'Law and Order' album:

And from 'Mirage' (you can find this one and others in the 'Mirage' songbook):

He also looks like he's aping a pygmy; if that picture had been taken now he'd cause a social uproar.

P.S. Yeah, I'm pretty savage, I know.

What cracks me up is that looking at the Mirage cover you'd think the album was named Tango in the Night, and looking at the Tango in the Night cover you'd think the album was named Mirage

Good catch! That's cool, you're right.

Do you think Mirage could also be Rumors and the White Album also be Time?

It was a great post.

**** might go even deeper though. Think of all those album covers - they all can be interchanged with each other!
