This is a good example of an instance when you should have something custom framed rather than trying to make the print fit in an existing frame.

Yeah, I don't like to spend the money on a custom frame, but it makes all the difference.

Bingo, I was thinking there was something wrong with it as soon as I looked at it.

Me either. I bought my fiance a Bob Masse Tori Amos print a few months ago, and the frame cost more than the print! With the Sisters print I think it's more of a problem that it had to be kinda folded to fit, and it makes it hard to see the top lyric.

The one in "The Big House". If you look you can see it in the "IYD" documentary.

I prefer to have all of my music art custom framed. It's always ridiculously expensive, but totally worth it since I never intend to have them removed from the frames. I just had four pieces done that I picked up on Friday (Siouxsie, Franz Ferdinand, James Morrison, and Cold War Kids) and they look great - it's fun picking the frames to compliment each piece individually. My finished basement is my 'music room' and three of the four walls are pretty much covered with framed rock promo art of various sizes. Still, these four pieces were almost $400 out of pocket, and that was *after* a $100 gift card and a 70% off coupon. And they really push the matting, which I never do because it practically doubles the price. Totally ridiculous, so I only do this about once a year. Some pieces are not custom framed, but only because I got lucky and found frames that look custom. I have three promo lithos that are all 11x17, and I'm hoping to pick pre-fab framed for these since the size is standard, but all that I've found thus far is so plain looking.

I really want to get the 24 Karat litho framed, but my walls are too heavily weighted toward Stevie Nicks already. I have a huge backlog of items I want framed, so I gotta be picky.

I get anything of value custom framed and really aside from the aesthetics the most valuable part of it is getting the UV protective "museum" glass to keep things from fading. Even if you don't have them in direct sunlight, they will still fade from natural light. Anything you want to keep forever, possibly sell later thinking it will have increased value, or want to pass down is worth investing in custom glass/framing.
