So does this mean she let Vanessa record her demo first?

I believe Vanessa wrote this one.

Interesting choice, and I really like the way this one sounds. To me it sounds much more polished and "interesting" than the other snippets we've heard.

Ooooh, snap!!! Better late than never, I guess! Now I feel bad for b*tching earlier!

Sooooooooooo...is this a Stevie song then? If these are "songs from the vault" then why would she do a Vanessa Carlton cover? Hmmmm

Per Metro Lyrics

"Carousel"

Songwriters
CARLTON, VANESSA

Published by
Lyrics © Universal Music Publishing Group

Looks like Stevie covered a Vanessa Carlton song...

I wouldn't be surprised if Stevie is putting the royalties from "Carousel" into a trust fund for her future god child...

Lame. I was really hoping (for the first time ever) that EVERY song on this album would have been written solely by Stevie...

BUT...if Stevie's new version is great, then I won't complain.

Sounds melodic and pleasant and a bit less harsh than other snippets (seems like a duet). I can live with this on the album.

Very strange..I like the song but when I think of the originals that were jettisoned for itAnd how could the copyright be 1981 was Vanessa writing songs before she could even speak.

So, basically she could've recorded two other unreleased songs and she chose to record "Twisted" (a song I never cared for to begin with) for the 3rd time, and a Vanessa Carlton song (why Stevie is so obsessed with her I'll never know).

Yes, I'm being an EVIL, EVIL Ledgie by daring to criticize her.
