Question about the Mirage Live DVD
You know the one from Brazil with the Behind The Mask picture on it? I already own this concert on video but I saw the DVD today for sale in my local HMV. It does look kinda dodgy but I was wondering what the quality is like and whether it is worth buying. Whenever it was on eBay I thought it was a bootleg, now I dunno! They were selling it for £15.
If anyone who owns a copy could advise me I'd appreciate it!

Question about the Mirage Live DVD
What HMV were you at!! Cause the HMV's around here don't have anything like that.
Did you look at the tracklist?? It's a bootleg of course and you said you own this concert on video so I would think you answered your own question on the quality thing. |

The quality is fine, obviously nothing special, but there's no problem. I got it at the HMV opposite Bond Street as all I had before was a VCD of it which didn't have all of the songs.
One thing I should add though is that it didn't actually play on my mates player, which is supposed to play all regions, but it was fine on both of mine. |

This previous thread might help too, especially the things Wetcamelfood wrote:

Thanks guys! Sorry about this thread, I was looking round The Ledge archives today and in the past there has been loads written about it.
Still I bought it today, its okay, sometimes it looks really good and other times it does look like a bootleg. I'd have to agree that it's an official release though. The fact that the quality is not perfect means nothing. When Blue Velvet was first released on DVD for instance, it was by a small label and the DVD was notorious for being even worse quality than the VHS! (It's been re-released since). The Brazilian equilvalent of the FACT or FBI warning at the start, the fact you can rewind and forward it easily, the chaptering, the special features, the labelling - all these things make me believe its a cheapo but legit release. PLUS I'm sure HMV would not be selling it, if it were a bootleg, they could get in a lot of trouble for that! Saying all this, I am going to have to return it to HMV (which is the beauty of buying it in a well known high street store - the returns policy) because it jumps several times at the very beginning. Also I read somewhere that Rhiannon is cut, but it isn't. It's the same as on the VHS. Anyway, thanks again!!
