Here's a link to the performance of Nightbirds, from '83.

Sure would be cool if she did this one and Stand Back again!! For old times' sake.

**I wonder if Lori will be back for this one... She certainly still has her beautiful voice!!!!!

My bet is she's going to sing "Show Them The Way" OR "For What It's Worth (Cover)"- it's election season and given her recent message and the Childless Dog Lady, she's probably going to get political and then throw in a Landslide to appease the youngins.

That would be my guess as well.Songs that she can perform by rote. There is no way that she is going to sing a brand new never before performed song live on network TV at this late date.

She's going to release a new song before SNL so the public hears it first. It would be embarrassing, and I'd be be embarrassed for Stevie, if she went on SNL and performed one or two of her hits/classics and her Buffalo Springfield cover. That would just be a total waste of an opportunity that would likely never come again.

who said she would do Buffalo Springfield??

She won't do 3 songs anyway. They do 2.

I’ve seen Bruce, U2 and Jagger do three on the show.

I'd like to place a wager on a new song. She only plays 40-50yo music.

I just think it would be pathetic if she was the musical guest on such an enormous show and did two old songs. Again, Jagger was the musical guest and I forgot he was the host in 2012 and he did three old songs but I think him doing the show was A) celebrating 50 years of being in showbusiness and B) having the greatest living frontperson on the program. Also he had a different band with him for each song: The Foos, Arcade Fire, Jeff Beck Band. Did you watch that episode? It was awesome. Mick was on fire.

Stevie will be welcomed like an Emperor at SNL. Maybe she'll talk for 13 minutes about cleaning a house and working as a server 50 plus years ago.

She's a pathetic legacy act. "Nobody buys records anymore".

Hopefully a director would yell cut!

Another possibility... Edge and Leather & Lace. She's done Edge more recently on TV, like for Ellen and AGT so that tight 4:00 version might work. I was thinking a duet might be fitting for the second song, since they did Nightbird last time.

doesn't she cut Edge down a lot nowadays? (which might be ok to keep it shorter for tv) But i think she shortens it coz she just can't do the full version anymore
