25 Years: The Chain - got an extra?
Hi all -
Thought I'd try my luck and ask this. Does anyone have the 25 Years: The Chain 4 disc box set that they are looking to get rid of? Booklet and all. I'd be willing to do a trade for this - I'll send you 4 discs of your choice of any of my live shows that I have. (link to my list is in my signature.) Yes I know you can buy this on ebay or amazon (lost 2 auctions on ebay already. ) but they can be a little pricey and I wanted to ask here first before I try amazon. PM me if you are interested. Thanks! |

Glad you feel my pain!
I also wanted to state that this is out of print, so the band isn't making any money out of it from these ebay/amazon sellers. I wouldn't do this for something like the Rumours album, etc. |

I've got it on my iTunes via a torrent site, so since it's out of print... am I allowed to post it on here for you guys?
I don't want to get in trouble, but I could definitely do that!

Oh dear... it appears that I've misspoken.
I shouldn't have said anything until I could for sure check my computer. It seems that I have this: Two CD set. For four decades, Fleetwood Mac have survived numerous personnel changes and continue to grow in popularity. From their beginnings as the UK based Blues outfit led by Peter Green to the California hit-making machine with Lindsay Buckingham and Stevie Nicks up front, they've consistently pushed the envelope and exceeded all expectations. This double disc sampler, a condensed version of The Chain, a 1992 four CD set, includes tracks from their early days straight through to the late '80s and then some. Features 37 tracks. And not the actual four discs. Sorry, guys! I totally thought I had that somewhere. If yall still want me to upload that then I will... again, so for my mistake.

I'm not sure you should upload the entire thing. See what about the tunes that are not exclusive to the 2 CD set that you have? You can get some of the tunes elsewhere. I know some are alt mixes though.
I'm still interested in my original deal though, I'd really love to have it for the packaging itself. |

"Gypsy"'s slightly different aswell, I think. It's similar to the video version of the song, with the extended lyrics.

I think it's out of print, trackaghost. HMV isn't in America, so at least it is out of print here. HMV sells some bootlegs though. (think of Stevie's Us Fest) So I'm not sure if I can trust if it is in or out of print by their stock.

I think HMV is possibly the only chain of cd/dvd retailers left here in Canada. They used to have loads of stores here, but they've slowly dwindled away... They absolutely are a legit retailer.

Excuse me, I was mistaken. But I never said that the chain was being sold as a bootleg at HMV - I called that Us Fest DVD a bootleg. You know more about the store than I do - but that doesn't mean you need to put words in my mouth. I was only speaking of if it was in print or not. I should of gave HMV more credit. The people who are selling that US fest DVD should have got my anger.
You seem to know a lot about CDs/DVDs - is it in print in the US? I don't see it anywhere here - but don't know if you can search databases over here. Last edited by nailatixela; 08-15-2009 at 09:55 PM.. |
