I have to admit, I'm not really thrilled about this one. I've listened to it about 5 times now. Seems waaaaaaaaaaaayyyy too slow for some reason. Even slower than the actual demo. Her voice sounds very "Street Angel" esque on it as well. Lethargic. Lazy.

Yet again, though...shall not judge until the full song is available. But that's just my first impression. Something seems a bit off kilter.

This pretty much sums up everything I was going to say. Street Angel lethargy & Adult Contemporary production . But like you said, I'm not writing it off yet by this snippet. The larger picture could make up for it. Not that I was ever a fan of the original demo anyway... but I digress.

I like it a lot. They used a flute. Was really surprised in a good way. It sorta sounds like My Heart Will Go On from Titanic.

Reminded me of something out of The Hobbit.

I'm not crazy about this snippet either.

I'm not listening to the snippet but am reading comments. So far I'm scared...

but honestly, the demo for me is pure magic and there's no way Stevie can duplicate it.

This sounds great. I've been a fan of the demo since I first heard it in 1989, and consider this almost a 'holy grail' of Stevie Nicks songs.

For years it has been said that she would never record this song because of Mark Knopfler - And I am glad to see that isn't the case any longer.

Yes, it's a little slow - so was the original.

I don't like it - the harmonies sound weird and it's really slow.

Her voice doesn't sound great either - I'm wondering whether it was recorded towards the end of the session?

This is the first snippet I've heard so far that I'm not over-the-moon excited about. But who cares?! I'm loving every other song or snippet I've heard so far, and if the last of the 16 tracks isn't amazingly awesome, so what! And who knows, maybe this one will surprise once we hear the full take!

The production is exactly like the new version of All The Beautiful Worlds- really slow & Adult Contemporary.

I've never heard anything about this before. What's the story?

If it's the song I'm thinking it is...Stevie wrote a song to a Mark Knopfler instrumental when Mark heard of this he sent word that if Stevie ever recorded it he would sue the chiffon skirt off her...

None of the sixteen second snippets thrill me. I have to listen to live with the whole song to form an objective opinion, then over time, my opinions might change. So far I like all the songs that been revealed in full form - The Dealer, Starshine, Lady, and 24 Karat Gold.

I assume, like all of Stevie's songs, I will like the new songs in varying degrees. I hear no difference in the sound of her voice in this snippet from any of the other songs. Sure, the tempo might be seconds slower than the demo, but I expect that every new version is going to have some differences. I don't expect a "thrill" level with every song, but I will love (or like) them still.

Idk, from what I'm hearing so far, I like it. It's pretty and I like the flute. Then again, I'm not really a fan of the demo, so my expectations weren't high for this track. I think the slow adult contemporary arrangement works for this track.
