Why would one need sunglasses on the *dark* side?

If you're a member of rateyourmusic.com, be sure to rate "Did You Miss Me" so we can get it ranked among the year's singles (only four votes currently).

If you aren't a member, I recommend joining; it's really helped me organize my music collection -- and being a rabid listmaker and the such, that's a great help.

Because the brilliance that is Lindsey is blinding (or the English equivalent of that sentence).

You're making me work too hard today!

Check the fine print. I didn't catch it at first, but a "Fin" did.

"Did You Miss Me" continues to rise over at iTunes! I been sending out notices to music blogs and to people via dlist, myspace, and facebook, so I like to think I'm helping. Here's the chart as of now!

I really like the song - the chorus is especially catchy. For some reason this lyric makes the song stink just a little... "Oh, when you were my baby." It just doesn't sound right...and it throws off the entire song. Kristin must have come up with that line... (kidding)

The lyric doesn't stink for me, but I did think it sounded strange, because Lindsey doesn't really use the word "baby" in his songs. He'll say something else. I have often heard people sing GYOW and they sing, "Baby I'd give you my world," and I thought to myself, well most writers would put a "baby" there, but Lindsey didn't. He'd be more like, "when you were my angel."

I liked Michelej1 and AliP's comments about the "Baby" lyric. The song didn't touch me -- and I couldn't quite put into words what it was -- that made it sound so foriegn.

Add now the knowledge that Kristen co-wrote it, the baby lyric makes sense.

I like the music...but the words sound like a "chick-flick" in lyric, and I guess I don't see Lindsey writing "chick-flick lyrics."

Baby isn't just a term of endearment. When I heard this song immediately I thought of his kids and LB missing them while out touring, when he returns there's much he's missed out on cause now they've grown. I think the writing is quite nice.
