Turkey.

I'm craving turkey and I don't even really like that stuff.
And there's a big bird all cooked and ready to eat just waiting on the table.
But I'm not gonna do it. I'll just eat my biscuits, rice, yams, salad, and cranberry sauce.

Damn vegetarianism.

^^

Good for you, sticking to your guns!!!

I'm craving a big fat nap after my turkey lunch...sadly I'm stuck at work and going on the air in about 35 minutes...not enough time to nap and they frown upon napping while on air.

Oh well.

what is the name of your program, and do you stream?

my local community station now streams!

http://www.kzfr.org/Stream.html

here is the program guide so you can stream during your faves! mine is the Celtic Dawn show on Wed AM, also I like Chico Butter on the weekends and I work with Big Bob, who does the Soul to Soul slot on Saturday night. He's a character!

I am on between 3 and 7 tonight - I do newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour...and local breaks here and there....

Blah...20 more minutes and I'm on the air.

LOL...does it not get that cold where you are?

It doesn't mean much the National Weather Service (where I get my forecast) has made a bloody liar of me for the the last two weeks. Not that it affects you

Wow..the only show I recognize on KZFR is Democracy Now. It's a very popular show - that is not carried by most public radio stations...but is carried by many "community stations" in fact only 3 public radio stations in the country run Democracy Now.

Yeah - it looks like a cool station! Democracy Now fans are radid though...every public radio station I've worked at (save this one) have had mega-problems with a small group wanting that show - sadly it doesn't really fit into the NPR ethics and programming - it's a great show - it just often doesn't "fit"

Well thanks for tuning in

That Gospel group is OK. I guess.

not what I think of when I think of Gospel.......

anyway, I think I will close out my itunes just so you wont feel like you're under the microscope. Its nice knowing that there is REAL news out there, not the canned, pre-approved pap we are spoon fed by the main media.

Thanks for sharing, Deanna

and thanks for being civic minded too. most of all.

Eh - the Gospel group is totally not my cup of tea - and I thought it odd NPR would do such a looong story on them Must be a holiday filler.

I just believe in public radio and community radio and the ties it can build with communities. It's something you don't get with the huge Clear Channel and Entercomm stations.

---

Anyway - now I'm really craving something sweet. Don't know what...but sweet would be good.
