No doubt about it. Gerald is that dog, just like he is the dog on the cover of Tusk.

This should only assist you in mastering your craft.... I can't understand how it would limit you....
most famous novel writers became good at writing books through reading others work and learning from them not because they studied the (english) language.

I'm not saying theory is bad. I'd lvoe to be able to play pianno and to do this im going to have to learn how to read music. I just think sometimes It can get in the way of you expressing your emotions because it brakes a "rule". I also believe that sometimes without knowledge of anythign musical you are restricted in how you want to express yourself because you do not have to knowledge to know how.

Okay....How do you think you can do that? I've got ONE advantage: You cannot piss on my influences, cause I don't HAVE influences; I can't play a note!!!

Oh my God. I wanna marry you. You're the first male I feel attracted to. Nobody EVER made me a greater compliment. Where do I have to put the wet nose?

Not at all. You can be a great pianist & not be able to read a note of music. George Shearing, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles & countless other pianists don't read staff notation.

If you want to learn how to play the piano, I recommend you learn how to read notes on a staff. But you don't necessarily need to know how to do this.

You forgot Ronnie Milsap & Johnny Neal, too.

Sure, they can't "read a note of music", but then they can't read ANYTHING, David.

Nice try.

I enjoyed Milsap's recording of the Bach Chromatic Fantasy & Fugue.

On the other hand, Friedrich Gulda, Alfred Brendel, Emil Gilels, Artur Rubinstein, Leon Fleisher, Sviatoslov Richter, Artur Schnabel, Rosalyn Tureck, Arturo Michelangeli & Maurizio Pollini were all able to read staff notation thoroughly.

The Ledge was calling Lindsey to play.
His playing was just a way of saying what we had all come to say.
(he's flawed in soooo many ways)
This thread was a poem slowly written
and torn from our keyboards.
Cast into a corner of the Ledge
where no one would look (the Peter Green forum?)
This rage of ChiliD for all to see
caught fire until there was nothing left of Geralds posts to burn.
Now I read alone with no more moans
and reread this thread all tainted with rage.
Tears heal such as healing is
so I cast this post into the flame
And there is no blame
only shades of regret
And those too will fade
As Clapton calls me away

There once was a Ledgie from Nantucket
Whose head was inside a bucket
From far away he heard
"Buckingham's a nerd"
So screamed with all his might, "Aww..F*** IT!!"
