The local news...
here in OKC did a piece on the current minor league baseball game/series in downtown OKC between the Oklahoma Redhawks & the New Orleans Zephyrs...
The Zephyrs players understandably have their minds elsewhere (Plenty of their players & their families have lost everything they own and 2 of their players are still in N'Orleans unheard from since Sunday.) and the OKC community is helping them out as best as possible (Remember, 10 years ago the rest of the country had to comfort us with the Murrah attack).

No, it's not too late. Secondly, to comment on post #92...Louisiana has known of this problem for years, and years, and years....they did not drop below sea level recently. If you've ever driven over the roads in Louisiana, you'd know the priorities there are much different from others. Which is fine... I agree with you about the money, to a point. It would cross my mind, but honestly....what are they gonna buy right now....and from who? Nobody's open. I believe that this was an act of greed. Just like the looting of clothing, jewelry, etc. Opportunistics....taking advantage of an easy situation (they think). Sorry, but if I were in the National Guard and martial law was called...if I caught you stealing anything other than food and water...I'd shoot ya! |

The thought may cross my mind - but I couldn't go through with it -I could not live with myself. it's stealing. There are honest ways to get what you need. |

One of the Wal-Mart's over there opened their doors....if they weren't open already...to let people just take what they need. I believe in a situation like this you will find that people will share what they have...you don't have to steal.
