Kansas hired Turner Gill (formerly of U. of Buffalo) three weeks ago.

Leach will end up at another lower-tier BCS school where he can run his gimmick offense that has proven unable to beat top teams (he has something like a 15% winning percentage vs. ranked teams) yet schedule enough cupcakes to ensure a bowl appearance most every season. You know, the Bill Snyder/KSU formula.

I'll give all you Ledgies one last chance to hop on board,
that Alabama Crimson Tide train is pulling out.

Speaking of cupcakes...

What makes you think that Texas Tech is a lower-tier BCS school?

I don't think Leach is hireable at this point. Not until this whole thing blows over and another big college football story comes along-- which will probably happen win #2 beats #1 on Thursday night.

He's taken the team to a bowl game every year for the past decade (with a record of 6-4).
Obviously something good worked out on all sides of the ball.

I was referring to the lower-tier status TT had when Leach took over. They're still certainly a lower tier Big 12 school, though. They'll never be able to recruit on the same level as other schools in their conference (the built-in Texas HS football advantage can only carry them so far). Leach pretty much maximized & realized the program's potential.

Oh, definitely- he's unhireable at the moment. He'll get a job next year, though.

This isn't necessarily an indictment of TT/Leach, but, it doesn't take much of anything to get to a bowl game. If you're a Big 12 team and you have 6 wins (even if 2 of them came against I-AA level cupcakes), you're going to a bowl game. Not exactly a beacon of pride.

Yes, she's smoking something . Texas has no idea what's about to hit them.

Forecast calls for PAIN.

Shh be quiet for a moment......if you listen carefully you
can hear the Longhorns scream in their dreams. But don't
wake them up, their dreams will not compare to the slaughter
that's going to take place tonight. This game is not for the faint
of heart.

I was gonna stay out of this thread until after the game, but this is too good not to share. El Arroyo, a local restaurant here, is known for having silly things on their sign out front - that they change daily. Today's sign:
