Yeah, it's pretty demented. I was pleased.

Hat says "Webelos Pack 285." Cake was for my son's Boy Scout cake raffle thingie.

Gotta repair and pack up the condo to get it rented, find a new place to rent in Austin from here, etc. I'm just so excited. Ever since my family moved away from Austin in the '90s I've been biding my time until I could return. It looks like it's FINALLY going to happen now! I can't even tell y'all how ecstatic I am!!
Gotta love Austin. I used to go up there a lot to go to our family lakehouse on Lake Travis. Congrats!

I grew up on Lake Travis! Our first house was in the Bee Creek area, but we lived in the Hudson Bend area the longest. I can't WAIT to swim in that aquamarine water again!!!

Does your family still have a house there?

I have always wanted to go to Austin. They have some pretty awesome film festivals and junk down there I would love to check out. One day, one day.

Awesome! This sounds horrible, but I have no idea where our lakehouse is. Haha it was my grandparents and we would go there in the summers when I was growing up. Then my aunt and uncle kinda took it over and renovated it quite a bit. Haven't been back there in years. I can definitely find out from my parents where it's located though!

Lake Travis gets pretty rowdy these days... especially with cigar boats and such. I remember the nice, calm peaceful days of just going out on the jet skis and skiing behind the boat. It sure is a nice place to go during the miserable heat of Houston's summers!

I've had a great night tonight It all started when I went ice skating for the first time with several friends (I only fell over once), and had a ball! On the way home we went to McDonalds, and I noticed that I didn't recognise a dollar coin I had in my wallet. On closer inspection I realised it was a commemorative coin of Howard Florey - a coin that's never gone into circulation! (Unsurprisingly, my friends didn't care.) Then, on the way out of McDonalds, I saw a really nice looking car parked outside that resembled a Lamborghini. Then my friend Andrew remarked:
"Hey, look, it's a Lamborghini Gallardo!"

What's more:
"Yeah, I've seen a few on the road. I've been in one once. You sit so low to the ground..."
You could've knocked me over with a feather! (After all, it is my favourite car, and I never expected to actually so much as see one in my lifetime...)
(I just thought I'd share that I've often remarked that I'll probably never bother to even apply for my driver's license, lest I be offered a Gallardo for a day upon becoming fully qualified. )

Awww! I love dachshunds so much. One day, I will have one. My uncle will only have snausage dogs as pets, and his dog Sammy was the inspiration for the cake - he's very old and they had to have all his teefs pulled, so his tongue will not stay in his head now.

I don't think I've ever seen one with blue eyes before, though.

I've always wanted one too. My husband had one years before he met me and said that they don't do well with separation- lots of anxiety. Don't you work from home? Perfect!

Does he ever have dreams where his legs start running like if he's chasing something? That can be fun to watch. ------
