When big acts tour again in 2022, Stevie will go tour alone and cash in. She isn’t going to have her last tour be with the Mac. Covid really was the end of FM.
John said he was done after they fired LB and this last tour was his farewell. They are all too old to wait for Stevie. LB will go out and do his thing. They’ve all sold catalogs so that should tell you everything. |

For me, it wasn’t the last tour that ruined it. It was Stevie’s refusal to contribute to a new FM album that was so infuriating. Technically, it was her right to hold back: no one can force her. But she knew they couldn’t let her go. She held them hostage to her celebrity. Realistically, what would contributing three or four songs have cost her? Seriously? She could have recorded them and then overdubbed her harmonies on the rest—that might have been like two weeks of work. Instead, she insisted on tours only. And then complained that the tours were brutal. Her spite towards Lindsey and his wishes trumped everything else.

that was at least 50% of it for me along with Nick's refusal to contribute to a new album and the all around treachery ..hey now hey now don't dream ....it's over

they were too old to wait for her any time after 1998, now all their unnecessary waiting and giving her the benefit of the doubt is getting back to them - and to us, having no real FM albums since they've gotten back together - just one ruined what would have been amazing Lindsey solo album. then again - better late than never!

Perhaps the biggest reason I was fine with the last tour was because any illusion that Fleetwood Mac was still an actual band anymore were shattered by the LBCM album. Stevie blowing off the guys is one thing, but also blowing off Christine after she’d been gone for 16 years and, more importantly, blowing off a once in a lifetime chance to make one more album with the classic lineup said all that needed to be said. The others, including Lindsey, all went along with it. Regardless of his reasoning, Lindsey also fed the monster that was Stevie’s ego. And, we all know why. So, if Fleetwood Mac isn’t a real band anymore, who cares who’s in the band? At least they didn’t embarrass themselves with the guys they brought in. Just seeing the core three and hearing Christine play a few keyboard solos, as well as finally hearing some obscure non-Rumours songs was worth it to me. Plus, Lindsey did a lot of deep cuts on his tour (“I Must Go” was a always wish list song for me).It was all good.

All she had to do was work on 3 old tracks..she didn’t have to write anything. I don’t think she can write a decent song, now....which is fair enough, she is in her seventies. And no matter what is said about Stevie these days, (all of which she deserves)..She did write some wonderful romantic songs.. |

All I can say is: Thank God Christine and Lindsey had the balls to release the album anyway and tour without her.
What an album and summer!
