Damned good speech...I think he has the potential to be as big a figure as JFK.

It looks as if Indiana will become blue! For the first time in my existance, I am living in a blue state...

I'm sure Debbie would be laughing at those she worked with who called anyone who voted for a Democrat a "Communist"...

I liked Obama from the get-go (Not my ideal candidate, but better than any other Democratic candidate), and he did it...

in Indiana, it is safe to say it is indeed a blue state:

Obama 1,317,500
McCain 1,301,358

Maybe someday I can have my state become blue...

I'm not the kind of person to make such bold predictions unreasonably, or otherwise talk out of my ass.

True that ..isn't it great to have a President that can actually speak without embarrassing us all!

latest tally with 99% precincts reporting:

Obama 1,347,142
McCain 1,323,629

So I think it is safe to say Obama carried Indiana

I saw a local election where one candidate had 21,000+ votes, their opponent had 0 votes...Talk about a lop-sided election

I grew tired of the Bush's (Both of 'em) years ago...And now it is safe to say we have someone who SOUNDS more intelligent than that burning Shrub, who will become an * in American history after Jan.20

The nomination of Obama as the 44th president of the US can best be summed up by Shakespeare-

The devil hath power
To assume a pleasing shape

I actually felt a sense of pride in this country during Obama's speech that I haven't felt in some time.

So, Sapphire Girl decrees Obama as the Anti-Christ.

Anyone else? Do we need an official radio-button poll on this?

lol. Mmmm fewer deaths overseas, more available health, a revitalization of the most powerful country......definitely a bad day for America. The anti-christ won.

When someone would tell me that they weren't going to vote for Obama because of his positions on the various issues, or because they were concerned that he's not quite experienced enough, I could respect that. Those are legitimate reasons, whether I agree with them or not.

But it's beyond me how, in 2008, anyone out there could still be gullible enough to fall for the "he's the Anti-Christ" malarky.

Obama isn't the devil, liberals aren't communists, and the gays aren't going to turn your children into deviants. The end.
