but if they actually do it, there's yet another excuse for SN to not being able to think about new FM album.

http://www.castanet.net/edition/news...-150154-8-.htm Fleetwood Mac are ''highly likely'' to headline Glastonbury 2016. The 'Go Your Own Way' hitmakers - who topped the bill at the Isle of Wight Festival last year - are reportedly close to signing up to perform at the world Michael Eavis' iconic festival on Worthy Farm in Somerset, South West England. A source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''Glastonbury was always on the cards and they wanted to do it last year but they couldn't because of the deal they have signed with Isle of Wight organisers. Now they are free of that they can do what they want.'' And it was IOW boss John Giddings who reminded Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis that money talks, when he revealed he had to splash the cash to secure Fleetwood Mac - comprised of Mick Fleetwood, Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham - last year. Giddings revealed: ''Michael Eavis said, 'How did you get Fleetwood Mac?' I said, 'I paid them!' He went on: ''Glastonbury are in a privileged position whereby they sell out in advance. They could book my granny and still have a festival. The rest of us are still in the realms of having to book a decent line-up and make it attractive to people and make them want to come.'' |

Yeah, let's face it. There's no excuse for them not to headline Glasto 2016. Oh, and also because I'm going.

Thank you for this information. Saves me much deliberation on how I'll manage to find a ticket.

A recent contributor to 'eFestivals'...
'So got talking to Michael Eavis himself and he answered a few questions at the talk. As far as acts, he kept tight lipped but when asked about a few he was quiet open to the idea of ELO and said he always wanted The Stone Roses to play since he seen them in Manchester last time they played. Also when asked about Fleetwood Mac he said they're too expensive costing nearly £4m but said we might see them in 2017. When asked about the headliners for next year he said he got his first choices and was happy to have them secure unlike last year with the whole mess with the Foos and The Who. He also mentioned the the 'Legend' on the Sunday is in his opinion the best he has got. He was also asked about the possibility of the festival site being moved and he said that there is a possibility but hopes it doesn't happen and it is down to the gas pipes under the festival, same as the craic with T in The Park. He then went on to say many times that he has an excellent site ready if it happens writhing 20 miles of Glastonbury. He was also asked about his favourite act but he insisted he couldn't say but he really really liked Radiohead in '97. He also spoke briefly about JayZ Kanye and Noel Gallagher It was recorded and will be put on YouTube. I'll link it as soon as its up. £32m it costs to run the festival and he has a cap of £500,000 for headliners just incase anyone is interested' |

Don't have my conversion calculator, but 4 million pounds would be over 5 million dollars, I guess.

I think it's slightly more than six million dollars.
I can see why they took the Isle Of Wight gig this year. |
