Just because your Mom says it, doesn't make it true!

I had 2-3 FM posters.
By the time I went to college, it was uncool to (publicly) like them, so I took them down. I would NEVER throw any FM related stuff away, though(other than OSOTM!), so I'm sure they're rolled up on a closet shelf somewhere here...

There are plenty of ways to make Money Money Money w/o sharing a bill with Journey.
And I actually have a hard time believing they are still in this for the $. None of them need it -- several hundred thousand more here and there for a few shows won't make a bit of difference to their lives. Call me naive, but I think they still love playing and touring. |

The NYT is doing a Baby Boomer story regarding these festivals. If any of you are retirees who spend a lot of time and money traveling to rock festivals, the writer asked me to put you in contact with her.
So, let me know. Michele |

As a huge Glenn Frey fan, I'm very conflicted about this. Joe says they will not be billing themselves as the Eagles, but rather Eagles Family and Friends or something to that effect. Still, there's no doubting that without Glenn, it will be essentially Don Henley and friends (no offense to Joe and Tim fans). No one can replace Glenn, regardless of whether they were his "family and friends."
Regarding the Mac, it saddens me that these will be their only shows in what should have been a banner year. I saw Stevie and I will be seeing Buckingham McVie even if I have to travel. However, for me at least, nothing is like seeing all five fireflies burning brightly together. Will I go? It will probably cost a king's ransom to get good seats; I'd have to travel; without Glenn, "Eagles Family and Friends" is just Henley/Walsh show with special guests; none of the other acts hold any real interest for me; I can wait a few months and see Fleetwood Mac for a lot less. Despite all of that, I'll consider it. |
