$550? At that price, it better do a hell of a lot.

I think I'll stick with what I have.

It might be cheaper in the US - we seem to pay over the odds for most things here!

You'd have to be really interested in manipulating images to warrant the expense though. But Elements is a very good package

I think CS2 goes for under $600. It's slightly cheaper with an education discount. I'm learning CS & CS2 on an iMac in one of my art classes. It's amazing what it can do.

everyone at my job uses that, and i feel stupid for never getting the hang of it. . .for years i couldn't afford photoshop, so i would download paint shop pro and then fix my computer clock so that i could use it pass the trial expiration date (hope i don't go to jail for admitting that online ). i still use it (secretly) at work, and try not to tell anyone for fear of being laughed at.

that's pretty clever. I should try that next time I download a trial program...

I got Photoshop 6.0 a couple of years ago, from a guy who worked with my dad. He had a ton of stuff, since his wife was a programmer. I haven't upgraded, but PS6 works well enough for me.

lots of companies have gotten wise to that old trick, but for several programs it's still possible to use them after the trial period if you set your clock back to the original date of installation. yep, i'm definitely going to jail!

Here's a picture of Chris with a pack of cigarettes. You can't see the brand name all that well, but it looks like it may be Marlboro.

That's very, very, very clever. How did you ever think of that?

I hope she no longer has a brand of choice. She did quit for 5 years, then started again because of the stress from her marriage ending. I hope she's given quitting smoking another shot these last two years.

If you can use PSP, you have an idea of Photoshop. Nothing compares to Photoshop, but the same concepts are there in PSP. Like with anything else, you can get any version of Photoshop through unsavory means. That's how one of my friends has Photoshop...
