Glad I'm not the only one who really enjoyed Grease 2!

Thank GOD, Some Patti fans here!!! Even after seeing Betty Buckley in 'Sunset,' Patti is still the quinessintial musical Norma Desmond. I can't even talk about Glenn Close-but-no-cigar...

(brownie points to the Ledgie who can identify where I got that)

BTW, I voted for Wizard of Oz, like that surprises anyone who knows me (Hello? WICKED!!!)

But really, I am such a fan of the musicals, I don't have a favorite.

Here are some that are great films that no one ever considers in the musical catagory, but are:

The Blues Brothers

and

South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut

Oh no you did not!

No, but seriously, the only movies I even like on this list are Moulin Rouge and the Wizard of Oz. Chicago and Grease are the worst films I have ever seen.

Oh, but I did. If it's any consolation, I do quite enjoy the stuff he recorded with Jane Horrocks.

Grease bites. I never liked it. I like Chicago, but I can see I'm in the minority. Some of those numbers were thrilling, it was fun.

You tend not to like happy and fun musicals with and clapping dance in the aisle numbers - I love them Then again, I kind of am like Odie

What do you think The Rocky Horror Picture Show is? "The Time Warp," "You're A Hot Dog," "Touch-a Touch-a Touch Me," "Dammit Janet," "The Floor Show," "Hot Patootie," etc. I mean, c'mon! Those are campy, fun, hysterical numbers that get me clapping and dancing.

Thankgod I'm not the only one. I never saw the appeal in Grease, it's horrendous. I did like Zeta-Jones' opening number in Chicago, but you know how I feel about Zellwegger. Pug face totally ruined any chance of me liking that movie.

True - but they are not the good clean happy fun - girl in love with a guy kind of thing like Grease.

Note - I LOVE Rocky Horror and have done the whole stage acting out in front of the movie thing - I was, of course, Rocky - though I did others as well, including Janet and Magenta Hey, it was college and I was stoned

I've been Brad, Magenta, Columbia, and *gulp* Betty Hapschatt. I used to do it all the time when I was in college, it was a blast. The theater would show all the old trailers for Deep Throat, Pink Flamingos, etc.

That must have been fun. I did my Rocky Horror midnight mass homage years ago. I'm not that big of a fan of it actually....reminds me of all the awful Warhol films. But it was fun being at the show. A huge food fight broke out, which was unexpected but rather fun.
