Kids are great--up until around the age of 15.

It always depends on the kid.

Agreed, had to make my point against generalization though

It all comes down to the human being and its behaviour, not the age , in my opinion. So no generalization.

Did you miss the intended humor (successful or not) of the generalization?

Definitely! I wonder if there's a case to be made for great kids who also have wonderful taste in music

I started a child-free thread on here once, and I don't remember exactly, but I don't think it ended well.

Children don't physically repulse me, but I don't especially care for them. I've certainly never wanted any. I greatly dislike certain new parenting trends, and wish that if parents insist on taking their kids places, that they would at least keep them quiet, but so many have adopted a kind of "free-range" philosophy when it comes to children. I've one too many scream in my ear at the grocery store while their parent (usually the mother) looks on obliviously. Some even seem to think it's cute.

I think that's the age when most of them start to become mildly tolerable.

I was impossible at 15. You'd have hated me.

This message has been deleted by beccamorrisfift. Reason: Pointless ageism is tiring.

Me too. My cousin has a spoiled BRAT, who's 9 now. A couple of years ago, I politely asked him to calm down, and the little SH*T was demanding that his Mom hit me or something. I can't STAND spoiled brats.

But really...a 15yo, I can tell them why they're being an assh*le, and usually they'll step into line. I can reason with a 15yo. I can't reason with a 9yo(duct tape!).

(totally joking about the duct tape)

I really want to do a photographic project on the women of world war two but i just can't work out how I would get it to work. It's an idea I can't get out of my head. Gosh I was born in the wrong era.

Bro, you have to do it! It could be like a fashion shoot maybe? Or a cultural focus on the different roles of women in WWII across different cultures even? Different age ranges? I love this idea!!
