For such things, it does makes sense, for posterity's sake.

when i watch Lindsey's Soundstage, sometimes i do wish they handpicked some people and put them in the front - either because of looks, or reactions / dancing.
however, i do LOVE seeing our own WelshWitchPMD all over that Soundstage (plus she is hot, anyway!).

"Hey, put some hot girls in front of Lindsey. I don't want him to get ideas."

I haven't watched his Soundstage yet, I think (but I've listened to the songs). Perhaps I should. Haven't watched Stevie's either.

I've read the previous post and the one thing that seems to be left out is the fact that Lindsey is just a guy. I mean guys are pretty simple (no offense intended) and they like to look a hot girls period. There's nothing usual about it, and if you have the power to make that wish come true, then what guy would not use it. That doesn't mean that Lindsey is messing around with any groupies after the show, but what guy (rock star or not) wouldn't want some hot, cute girl in front of them, dancing around, clapping and screaming their name?
(IMO) Lindsey doesn't feel comfortable with his age, or getting older (I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way) and he's got a pretty big ego, so the man likes cute woman up front . OK, I'm not going to be mad at him for that, but what I am mad about is the fact that many fans that have paid a lot of money for front row seats are being pushed back several rows so (again IMO) Lindsey can feel like he's living back in 1977. And I don't for a second think that Lindsey doesn't know it's happening, or that it was done without Lindsey requesting it. I'm not sure if the guy's picking the girls are from the band's private security or from the security that is provided by each venue, but it seems to me that it would have to be the security provided at each venue doing the picking as Lindsey doesn't seem to use/have have any security around him. I could see some security guy's provided by some of the the venues along the way thinking they would do Lindsey a favor and put hot girls up front, or maybe just using it as a way to get to know some girls, but if it's become a common occurrence at every show (and the band doesn't tape every show) and the number of girls getting put up front are really large (one Ledgie said 30 girls?) then it's being done by request and not just some guys trying to get a girls number or a hook up. (IMO) I also don't see Kristen or Stevie being able to stop it either. Lindsey does what Lindsey wants to do, and he will fight you tooth and nail if you try to take his freedom away. |

If Lindsey did not like it, he could tell them to stop and you know they would, but it seem like he likes it. Again, guys are guys and (IMO) Lindsey likes to feel young and look at young women. Nothing abnormal about it, it just sucks for some of the fans. |

I don't know enough about the people security guards bring up to the front to have a strong opinion about why it happens. But I don't conclude that Lindsey requested it, especially since it doesn't happen at his own solo shows. I find the conjecture about who did it, who can stop it and why they don't all very amusing, but highly unfounded. Michele Last edited by michelej1; 09-22-2013 at 04:22 PM.. |

I haven't noticed a widespread move either. In Columbus there were a few escorted up to rows 3-6ish but this seemed mainly to fill empties (I think we were in row 6 centre) For example, 2 aisle seats were empty for a good half an hr and the security guy moved up two young ladies, but this was row 4 or so. I wouldn't have noticed but they were a bit tipsy and dancing around etc.

Also, you know most of what happens in and around this band is unfounded and almost all conjecture, so that's nothing new. |

Yes, conjecture always runs rife. I understand that guards are bringing women up at some shows, but wouldn't know why they do it. No, Lindsey's solo shows aren't too small to have people up front. There's always plenty of room in front of the stage and people do stand there more often than not. Lindsey seems to be fueled by their enthusiasm at his solo shows and if there is no one standing there, he seems disappointed. There'd be every opportunity to pull "hot" people up to the stage if that's what he wanted to do. Apparently, he doesn't. At FM shows, people stand in front of the people in the front row no matter what, hot or not. The people in the front row have the opportunity to go to the stage if they feel like it. If they don't go, their view will be obstructed by those who do. I would prefer to sit in my front row seat comfortably without having anyone stand in front of me, but that is not the case. They encourage the stage standers. The people in the first 3 rows always have the first choice to stand in front. What people have been talking about here is people who don't have front tickets and who normally would not get past arena ushers, since their tickets aren't front tickets, being invited to come and stand near the stage.
