Why should it be more than OOTC, when he promoted it, had videos and was not 55?
I bet their time is over commercially. They should accept that and start making only the music they like and want without compromising for a record company, which doesn`t change a thing.
Yes, you're right. But I just still try to believe that if a Lindseysong sounds Very characteristic AND different, it just should be a single. If that is not happening, I'll dream on. If it happens and it flops, THEN I want to give you credit for seeing it well. But not on forehand. (dutch english).

Influenced by Peter Green and Jimmy Page, who were no doubt influenced/inspired by Clapton... It all comes round in the end.

Hey, what does that say? He also calls Elvis' guitarist as a big influence in other interviews. I have 0 with Elvis. Page and Green I adore!!! Hate Clapton. It's not all causal. The fact that Gary Moore is influenced by Peter Green does not say that his playing does ANYthing for me.

Hell, I actually like Clapton's live playing more than Lindsey's these days. That man doesn't repeat his solos to the level that Lindsey does. Of course I pretty much dislike all of his studio releases from Another Ticket on (if you don't count From The Cradle, of course) but as a live performer he's always delivered and then some. There even the most lifeless studio material can become something else.

You don't believe me? Go listen to "Blues Power" and "Double Trouble" from the Just One Night live album. There's too little guitarists around these days who can do both the maximalism and the minimalism that well.

As an guitar arranger Lindsey is still tops though.
