I don't understand why the threads were deleted. We weren't even given an opportunity to discuss the editorial in a civilized manner. Personally, I think we are treading on a slippery slope if the moderators are deeming which sources are credible and which aren't.

Chris has been on the Ledge for years. She's an intelligent woman. She feels strongly on certain issues just as others feel stongly in their beliefs. If you frequent the ledge it doesn't take long to know how to rub certain members the wrong way.

That being said, I would hope when someone takes on the responsibility of being a moderator, they would be fair to both sides. I also feel that the explanation given as to why threads being deleted was snarky and baiting.

Yeah, 26. I'm light years away from the person I was when I was 20. I am amazed at the lifetime of stuff Ive experience since then. I was a pretty naive 20 yr old.

I've just seen threads far more offensive than Brandon's not deleted. Remember Rose.Gypsy's thread? It was "intentional baiting" against liberals, and it stayed. Hell, even HighPriestess's trash stayed.

I agree with all of this completely. I never got a straight answer as to why they were deleted; I got conflicting information.

But, as Nancy said, I think we should let it go unless it starts happening more. It may be one of those things. Besides, I do respect Suze and Chris and pretty much have as long as I've been on this board and known them. I'm directing this little paragraph at you, Brandon, because I don't want you to go. I understand how you feel but I really think you should wait it out.

I agree. We really don't want to hurt other poster's feelings around here. That's not what we're about.

If Bush did come to post that would be another story; you're right about that.
