In my defence, I've been on other forums where the golden rule was "don't get too personal about band members" or "Don't verbally harass other users with personal insults."

My intent was not to put you down Cookie! My apologies if you seriously feel that way.

All of those things you just mentioned about verbal harassment and personal attacks... they all fall under that rule don't they. Playfully insulting people is one thing, but dancing along the edge of that line? No need for stuff like that here. There are other boards where people can go in and behave like they're in Thunderdome.

On a side note, I have no clue what or why people got banned. I'm guessing it was warranted by you moderators and I keep to myself pretty much so I have no clue what goes on on here. Personally I don't see or fear you any differently since you became a mod Brandon and I don't act up on here ever to warrant anything ever happening to me so I don't see an issue ever. I think you're as cool and likeable a person as ever, to everyone and a great moderator who is responsible, and fair when need be. I just think you're as cool as you ever was with people. And I never understood why some had haterade for you. You're likeable and chat with anyone on here.

Louie I miss talking to, but he got quiet or simply too busy these last few months on me so I don't really know what's going on there. But he's cool to me too and Jannie also. I don't really know any of the other administrators on here but you all seem ok to me. I think as long as one respects the board they shouldn't have any issues with you mods.

Like I said, I've no clue what's going on or why members are upset, I'm in the dark as always. But I hope things on here don't get personal as far as the board falling apart. I used to be more open and opinionated on the other board until you realize how silly it all was 3 or 4 years later looking back to fuss and fight with someone.

People are permanently banned for breaking rules repeatedly & showing a lack of disregard for respect & common decency. Members are not banned for having differing opinions from the moderation team or for being outspoken. If that were the case, I myself would have been banned long, long ago.

Regarding why some posts have recently been removed- it is our policy to not condone discussion of board members (past or present) who cannot speak for themselves. Any discussion would be hearsay anyway since only the moderation team and the respective board member know the full story. The moderation team does not advertise when members are suspended, banned, or why disciplinary action is taken. That would be gossip. Everyone here knows the rules of etiquette of the Ledge... you agreed to them when you signed up. If you follow them, you have no reason to fear disciplinary action from the moderation team.

Some people try and use the Just Thought I'd Share thread to stir malcontent amongst members, and us on the moderation team have no tolerance for that either. There are no dark conspiracies or sordid dramas on the Ledge. Members come and go of their own accord, or are removed because they cannot abide by our very liberally enforced protocol. It's pretty cut and dry folks.
