My heart is broken for you, Dave. I know how much you loved and cherished Cash. You were every bit as good of a friend and companion to him as he was to you and you absolutely did right by him every step of the way. I hope you can take some comfort in that knowledge.

Your story about Cash has touched my heart. You are a lucky man to have had such a wonderful companion in your life.

My sincere condonances to all who have lost pets/friends. It's tough, believe me I know.
I am a great animal lover and usually have several pets. Right now it's 4 cats, 2 rabbits, and a Dumbo rat.
These two are thankfully still with me

David, you have my deepest sympathy. You and Cash were so lucky to have found each other. At least Cash is no longer suffering & he will be with you forever.

I'm so sorry for the loss of Cash, Homie. You are a good man, and a great friend to Cash. I know it's hard right now, I've lost many pets in my life. But you were with him and he was not afraid or alone or in pain. He was with you.

Thanks again. I've been walking around stores for the past 5 hours, not even buying anything. I couldn't stand to come home. It's just not home without him.
And the damned crematory told me to not even call today, to check if he was ready, that his ashes will be ready in the morning (today's morning). She told me she was cremating him last night, so "just come on in, today". "She" wasn't there today, and the guy who was, told me that they hadn't even gotten to him yet. So now I get to envision that he's been frozen, or worse, just lying around. I hope she's there tomorrow, because I intend on "thanking her".
Sorry, but I feel the above is disrespectful, to me and him.

^^ that IS disrespectful because they told you it would be done.
I know it's hard thinking of him being there alone, but it's not him. The best part of him is what you have now-which is memories

And I doubt they have him just lying around. I'm sure he is being taken care of.

Absolutely. Try not to think of him on his own there - he's not there at all really. He's inside you

On a lighter note and just because her mere presence may lift ya up a little as it does me - - here is Ms. Holiday Laine in a pic that I believe is on a national Christmas Card this year, though I have yet to see the card
