my boss wasn't supposed to work today, it was supposed to be the manager (whom i love, we get along great) opening. so i left her a note telling her about this frustrating customer who wanted a party tray, but didn't know what he wanted, etc, and i used a really offensive description as a joke. but my boss ended up coming in & seeing the note, everyone saw it. and now i'm totally embarrassed because it was very offensive, but not everyone would understand that i meant it as a joke.

lesson learned (until the next time) ...
