I love the idea of muscling up "Little Lies." It shows what a really good song it is, that it stands up to such a different interpretation than the original.
I absolutely love this performance until the two male divas show up halfway through the song. Introducing them really breaks the momentum of the song, and then their short little vocals are both horrible. I'd like to see this band perform the song without those two ... that would be great.

You ALWAYS have the coolest unusual posts! I'm always thrilled when you post something...
Speaking of RRV, do you happen to have the 'It's Late' from the same show? I love the way they did it and would love to add THAT audio to my ipod... |

Carolynne Good - Little Lies
The threads about David Cook's version of Little Lies reminded me of a cover that was done an a UK televsion talent show from a few years ago. It was called Fame Academy and is now (thankfully) long gone but check this out, especially the last 40 seconds or so when she does something a bit different....Stick with it...
Note: Ignore the stupid Stevie-like costuming and the backing track and just concentrate on her voice. The dumbass producers clearly didn't bother to check that it's a Chris song and in fact one of the judges actually referred to it in his comments as a Stevie Nicks song (Carolynne corrected him - good on her!) I quite like this, see what you think. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znKjPzVqxLU

That wasn't too bad. Obviously not as good as the original but a good effort
I quite like the Ari Hest version - he gives it a slow gentle treatment. Gail |

I'm reminded of that joke from Statler & Waldorf (the Muppets)...
Ahh I liked that last number. Oh yeah, why? 'Cause it was the last one. *laughter*

Anna Ternheim - Little Lies
This might be the best Fleetwood Mac cover I've ever heard.

But I can't compete with that. That was superb, and very inventive.

This is one of my favorite FM covers... not just a retread but a new interpretation... a sadder version than Christine's which is a lot more upbeat, but the lyrics lend themselves to it nicely.

I love it! But I still think Ari Hest did the best cover of not only Little Lies, but of any Fleetwood Mac song ever.
