I do not use chapwax. Right now I like Bath & Body Works conditioning lip shine in sheer pink lemonade.

Although I am usually ALL things Kiehl's, I prefer Burts Bee's Beeswax Lip Balm. I've found that nothing works as well as that product.

On a daily basis, just classic Chapstick. I like the smell for some reason. However, I do have a host of other lip treatments in my purse. I have about 4 Jessica Simpson lip plumping glosses, a set of 6 varying shades of Sephora lip gloss and some Lip Venom. Oh, and I just put on my Burt's Bee's lip balm that I haven't used in forever and this shiznit is burning my lips. Damn! The texture is better than what I remember though.

By the way, while perusing this thread, Jazzy's picture of himself in the "what do you look like" thread keeps popping into my head. You know, the one with the moist lips.

I am a chapstick/lip plumper whore. I swear if you looked in my bag you'd think Sephora threw up in it. right now I have, Bath and Body Works Vanilla Sugar chapstick, Lip Fusion XL, regular cherry chapstick, a tinted Burt's Bees chapstick and a tube of regular Vaseline chapstick.

LOVE Sephora..

I have tried to use chapstick...but it always makes the back of my throat feel awful...

Am I licking my lips too much with it on?

Does anyone else have this issue? Like the taste really really bothers me - and then it makes the inside of my mouth taste/feel really icky.

I've tried several brands and types, this always happens. Yet, it doesn't happen when I use lipstick/gloss....

What's the deal?

Yeah, Softlips is awful for that. I have tried Burt's Bees..same thing. Maybe I need to try a different variety of it? I don't know.

What I DO know is I'm glad I'm not the only one with this issue

well, dee, it's a very important issue that i'm sure has plagued thousands - nay, millions - across the land. i'm glad the ledge could bring us together to offer each other support and advice.

have you tried the blue jar kind? that may work.

The blue jar kind. I don't know what that is.

And yes, I feel so light and free now that my chapstick problem has been brought to light. I've lived with this burden far too long.

Oh...right..I have seen that...and have never tried it! I may pick some up...for days when I don't wear makeup...but most days I just do lip gloss or lipstick and am fine...

Though that doesn't discount the pain and hardship I've encountered not being able to wear chapstick. Maybe I should sue.

Hey! Don't forget about the FEELING. The Weird throat/mouth FEELING. That, to me, is more of a case point than the taste.
