Legendary Beatles manager Brian Epstein's life is to be turned into a biopic, which will unearth secrets about the gay svengali.Broadway producer Vivek Tiwary has been developing the project, titled The Fifth Beatle, for years, but now has the financing to officially start work on the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

John Lennon songs 'written by ghost' sent to Yoko Ono by budding writer

A retired printer with no musical ability claims he has been taught new songs by the ghost of John Lennon. Mike Powell has recorded 50 of the 350 tunes he says the murdered Beatle has written in the afterlife and is sending the results by CD to Yoko Ono. ‘If she listens then she will be in no doubt that these songs come direct from John,’ said the 56-year-old father of two from Abergele, North Wales.

I have a couple updates.I don't agree with this article about Sean and Charlotte and obvious comparisons between his parents.They are being themselves and they are not trying to dress and act like John and Yoko. They like dressing how they do.They love music and performing.Its who they are as people and artists.

An upcoming segment of BBC One's British "Imagine" television series will feature unreleased music from the John Lennon/Yoko Ono recording sessions that resulted in the "Double Fantasy" album along with some rare video footage. But the program will only be available to the UK and not in the U.S., according to a spokesman for BBC America, who told us that there are no current plans to air these shows here.

"Imagine: Lennon In Limbo," which will air July 12, will look at into Lennon's life after his move to New York City and his relationship with Yoko Ono. The BBC says the show will include never-before-heard studio recordings from the "Double Fantasy" sessions and never-before-seen outtakes from Lennon in concert and his home movies that will result in "a wealth of new insights." The film includes exclusive interviews with Yoko Ono and with artists who worked closely with Lennon during this period, including Elton John and photographer Bob Gruen.

The following week on July 19, the series will also look at Lennon's close friend, Harry Nilsson, in "Imagine: Harry Nilsson – The Missing Beatle." This segment will explore the life and career of the singer, whose hits including "Everybody's Talkin'" from the movie soundtrack for "Midnight Cowboy" and will feature interviews and newly discovered footage. The film will showcase new and archived audio and film, including home movies, music videos, promotional films and segments from "Did Somebody Drop His Mouse?," the unreleased documentary made during the recording of "Son Of Schmilsson," plus interviews with Robin Williams, Yoko Ono, Van Dyke Parks, Randy Newman, Ray Cooper, the Smothers Brothers and Micky Dolenz.

The five-episode week series begins June 28. BBC TV shows are often available on the internet after they air, though the webcast is generally limited to Europe.

Let me just say that, from first hand experience, I have heard several of John's demos/unreleased songs from that era and they are FLAWLESS. Ugh, he was so amazing. So I'm kinda jealous, but enjoy!

George Harrison's first girlfriend has boosted the late Beatle's reputation as a ladies' man by revealing she still treasures her first kiss with him.
"He was really into me, or so I thought," Iris Caldwell reveals in the new documentary Beatles Stories.

"But I think the main reason he was 'cos he was trying to get in my brother's group (Rory Storm & the Hurricanes). My brother was saying, 'Sorry son, come back in a few years time when you can play a bit more.'"
