GUYS. THE COOLEST THING JUST HAPPENED.

My friend Rachel just texted me asking if I had some cigarettes that someone could bum. I should sure, come on over. Turns out, it was this big feminist speaker that Rachel's org brought to campus tonight, and the first thing she said when she walked in my room was "Holy ****, Buckingham Nicks album? My mom named me after a Stevie Nicks song." We're now best friends, I have her email, and I'm sending her some Stevie sh*t later tonight. The things that having a few unhealthy addictions will do for you.

So my very first boyfriend called me tonight, and we talked about 2 hours. I haven't really heard from him in quite some time, so it was a very unexpected surprise. It's just amazing how far we've both come... we started dating when we were 19, and stayed together for a few years. We started off as friends, and we ended as friends... and that's so rare in dating. It just meant the world to me that he thought to call me up and seek advice on his life, and spend a couple of hours catching up with each other. I've been kinda down lately searching for work, and have felt isolated. But hearing from a very old friend tonight has put some wind back in my sails. It really is the simple things which bring me the most joy!
