Default 3 New Articles

Nico just post those photographs when you have time to. Take care of your own needs first. That the most important thing. From the other reviews online I have read about the Nelsonville Festival the crowd seemed to really like the Goastt a lot.I am sure your have many other opportunities in the future to meet Sean and Charlotte again.I certainly intend to See the Goastt perform live the first chance I am able to.Maybe 3rd World Man will stop by later for his own review etc.I have some new updates now.

Rare signed Beatles LP part of Case’s spring auction

On May 21, 2011, Case Antiques Inc., Auctions & Appraisals will auction off “Meet The Beatles!,” signed by all four Beatles the day before their American debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. The autographed album was consigned by a direct descendent of Dr. Jules Gordon, the New York City physician who treated George Harrison for a sore throat on February 8, 1964. The album is included as part of Case’s Spring auction, which will take place at the company’s gallery in Knoxville for persons wishing to bid in person and simultaneously online for national and international bidders.

I have some new updates. I am also adding a update for the band ' Cibo Matto'. Since Yuka Honda does performances with Sean Lennon and Yoko sometimes.Als they still record songs together. Sean Lennon use to be the bass guitar player for Cibo Matto. Also Yuka' s other band, ' If By Yes " is on the Chimera Music label.Yuka Honda and her husband Nells Cline also lives in Sean's home with Charlotte as roommates in New York City.

The Flaming Lips w/ Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger
The Fillmore Charlotte

The Good: The night got started with a 30-minute set by Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger. Fronted by Sean Lennon, the band’s sonic delivery was a bit different than the last time they were in town. Instead of a duo performing mostly acoustically like they did at the Evening Muse earlier this year, the group was now a quintet with drums, electric guitar and more of a punch.

Nearing her octogenarian years, YOKO ONO releases “Move on Fast” as part of her ongoing dance remix series. All the while, she continues to value everything which is natural, which is infinite, which is yes.You can forget many things in the sixties. You might even want to forget that the Vietnam War happened. But surely, you won’t forget The Beatles and the woman blamed for breaking them up—Yoko Oh-no—so the pun goes. But at 78, she remains unstoppable in embracing everything affirmative. Today, she tells me, “Living in this world was always tough for everybody. So why not try to make it better by saying yes? I’m here now not because I kept saying no, you know. Yes is what brought me at being 78, and I’m very thankful.”

Yeah Basically Cibo Matto

Cibo Matto has announced its first tour since the duo parted ways in 2001.
The duo, which features Japanese-born Miho Hatori and Yuka C. Honda, reunited in March to play two benefit shows in New York for Japan disaster relief.
The upcoming dates are being promoted as “sneak preview” tours. The “Yeah Basically Cibo Matto” summer trek will feature a West Coast leg followed by a round of East Coast and Midwest dates. The fun begins June 21 at Neumos in Seattle. Dates are scheduled through a July 20 gig at Boston’s Brighton Music Hall.

Relive Paul McCartney’s high, high, highs and low, low lows

Paul McCartney wrote “When I’m Sixty-Four” in his mid-teens, at a time when the idea of actually turning 64 years of age must’ve seemed impossibly far off. In the song, he imagined one’s senior years with a quaint nostalgia, emphasized by the vaudeville/music hall flavor of the melody, depicting an old couple thriftily economizing to get by and enjoying life’s simple pleasures: grandchildren and that lovely cottage on the Isle of Wight.

James McCartney On World Cafe May 18, 2011

As son of Paul McCartney, the former Beatle and one of the most commercially successful songwriters of all time, it should come as no surprise that James McCartney has the music in him. The singer, songwriter and sculptor has been involved with his father's career for some time, contributing to solo albums and even accompanying Sir Paul on tour.

I heard James McCartney's EP all the way through and didn't care much for it. Maybe he's a grower but none of the songs appealed to me, and his voice isn't my thing. However, I saw some youtube vids and he's a pretty good musician.

Anyway, I really want to see the GOASTT again with a lot more songs. Sean's song "Smoke & Mirrors" from the sampler album is beautiful. Just beautiful. I want a new Sean album NOW.

Default Talking Music, Art, Butt-Shaking & Gay Rights with the Legendary Yoko Ono

I am also not really into James Mc Carthy's music yet.James also started much later in life.He was born on September 12, 1977,I looked it up on google.Sean was a teenager when he started performing and was in the band Cibo Matto and as a solo artist.Even before he started the Goastt band.Sean also has recorded and performed with his mom and others to.So he just had a lot more experience and practice than James has right now. So he has late start. But I will check out his music sometimes on' You Tube ' etc to see what happens with it.I have 2 updates. One new Goastt video. Also As a out Lesbian I am happy and proud that Yoko supports the gay rights movement in this country and around the world.Everyone have a safe, and great weekend and take care.

Those are FABULOUS pics MsLinds. At first I thought Sean got his hair cut but then I saw he had it in a ponytail. I actually don't mind any of his hair styles because he's just too cute for words. Thanks!

Photos of Beatles' 1st US concert to be auctioned
May 20, 2011
It was 1964. Beatlemania ruled. Two days after their momentous debut on "The Ed Sullivan Show," the Fab Four boarded a train from New York for Washington, D.C., for their first U.S. concert. An enterprising 18-year-old Mike Mitchell was there, a press pass in hand, shooting photographs just feet away and even jumping onto the stage for the group's brief pre-concert press call.Forty-seven years later, Mitchell has made 50 silver gelatin prints from his negatives of the event on Feb. 11, 1964 at Washington Coliseum and of the band's Sept. 13, 1964 performance at the Baltimore Civic Center. He's offering them for sale at Christie's New York auction house on July 20. The total pre-sale estimate is $100,000; the images will be sold individually.

Lennon ‘bed-in’ photos offered at Leland’s auction

Photojournalist Gerry Deiter documented the protest, which began May 26, 1969. Deiter snapped intimate portraits of the newlyweds as they sang, composed, conversed, slept and rejoiced in the warm glow of peace during the eight-day event designed to show the world that peace, love and harmony were the true path for all mankind. Images show John and Yoko enjoying quiet moments together, playing with daughter Kyoko, composing and recording the anthemic “Give Peace A Chance,” receiving a wide variety of guests (including the confrontational Al Capp, who tried to incite a fight) and finally leaving the bed after eight days.

Students appeal to identify original plants that grew in John Lennon’s Garden
History students at the Students appeal to identify the original plants that grew in John Lennon’s Liverpool garden in 1957 on Menlove AveUniversity of Chester are appealing for help in identifying plants that could have grown in John Lennon’s childhood home as part of a major research project.

The group of seven students is working on a research project to gather information which can be used in the future to recreate the authenticity of the garden at Mendips in Liverpool with the assistance of the National Trust, which looks after the property. The house is a mecca for Beatles’ fans and while the building itself is contemporary to the 1950s when John Lennon and his Aunt Mimi lived there, the garden contains modern plants.
