Like many, I do not know what tracks are being recorded. I did notice four recent BMI repertoire entries for Stevie Nicks: "Melucine;" "I'm the Only One" co-written with David A. Stewart; "Dial the Number" co-written with Sandy Stewart; and "Goldfish and the Ladybug." Christine McVie also has two: "Rain in the Summertime" and "Wanna Be With You."
I wouldn't make much of that..."Melacine" "Ladybug & Goldfish" & "Dial The Number" are ancient songs...Could just be renewing the copyright...

And therein the rub. Some folks can rationalize and justify anything when it comes to Stevie, but the element she claimed she wanted to lure her back into the studio -- Christine -- is there now, and she still doesn't seem to want to be there.

At face value, there's nothing in that statement to imply she's being obstinate about recording -- only that she hasn't yet committed to a time-frame (and probably whether she wants an outside producer for her songs. But that's just an assumption). There's also nothing to imply that she hasn't already sent Lindsey a few demos to listen to.
LOL, "not obstinate?" Don't you think that Lindsey would be announcing only too gladly that she is back in the studio with the band if she were? He's been lobbying publicly so hard for it, and now we are supposed to believe that she's in there and he's decided to get all secretive about it?

That doesn't explain the new entries under Christine's name. There are also the 5-6 unreleased songs in Lindsey's name probably from the 2012 sessions he held with Mick and John when they also recorded Sad Angel and Miss Fantasy.

I'm the Only One is probably a working title that was scrapped for the (already released) Everybody Loves You - for anyone unfamiliar with it, Nicks and Stewart wrote that song together for In Your Dreams and it contains the lyric "No-one really knows you, I'm the only one...Everybody loves you, but you're so alone". On With the Show is registered in Lindsey's name, and although I want to believe it's a fresh song, I'd say it's also an alternative title, probably for Miss Fantasy whose lyrics feature that phrase.

Ever consider it might not be his decision to say absolutely nothing?

Wow. If Christine is afraid of earthquakes ... We just had a ridiculous one.

Finally, we don't even know that she hasn't been in the studio to visit. We're all just assuming she hasn't.

In fact, we (myself included) have all made a lot of assumptions, based on that one sentence from Lindsey.
That's true. I assumed that he meant she wasn't sure when her material would be ready for studio recording with them, but she was working on it. All these diva scenarios didn't occur to me until I came to the Ledge and read all the accusations and condemnations being thrown around.

I will say that it wouldn't surprise me if there were tensions about producing, though. In her mind, Lindsey's no longer the guy who always knows just what to do with her songs to make them great, and that has to hurt him.

They are not signed to a record label. Who else can tell them what to do?

That was a lot lighter than the last. But you are farther east than me I believe.

Still haven't felt one since I've moved here. A curse and a blessing! But like 12 people in my general area reported they felt it on the usgs site.

If they want a record deal, they'll have to use her name.

The only way that I can see her management preventing him from speaking of her involvement is if she hasn't formally committed yet.

Also, we only have a few concert dates. Everyone may not yet be committed to the "world tour" that Christine thinks is ultimately in the offing. So, I can see them walking gingerly and not saying anything definite until all the contracts are signed and then maybe they'll start giving interviews talking about what was really happening right now and complaining about each other.

Michele

I would imagine they're gauging interest in the tour.
If ticket sales are what they hope, and John's health
holds up they'll roll out more dates. And hopefully
that "good" album that we're looking forward to.

One free bit of advice for them (I usually charge).
Sell the new album at the venues!
