Wasn't this supposed to be bands? Anyways...here are my favs:

The Refreshments (the Swedish band)
The Dixie Chicks
Gloria
The Byrds
Simon & Garfunkel
The Jayhawks
Savage Garden
TLC
Smokie
Roxette

in no particular order, except for The Refreshments and The Dixie Chicks which are on the top of the list, the first of the two I've just recently discovered and I'm totally crazy about them at the moment

LOL. I would probably say that as well, and doing a top 10 is really hard, partly because other than FM and a few other bands, I don't really listen to much other music.(althouhg, saying that, I listen to almost anything)

Nothing, I just don't "diggest" it. I mean, you never "diggest" Radiohead music easily, but with OK Computer and the previous albums I could "diggest" them and taste them. Kid-A and post Kid-A stuff I can't diggest it.

JMHO.

I do see your point, I do find post-Kid A very hard to listen to, and you're right, the other albums were so much easier to 'digest'.
I just hope that the next album, is just as easy to digest as everything before Kid A.

Hmm...there is no band (or single performer) that I'm as obsessive about or interested in as Fleetwood Mac. My top 3 come close, as far as tracking down bootlegs and getting excited about tours, but most of my music time really is devoted to FM.

1) Sheryl Crow
2) Train
3) U2
4) The Lemonheads
5) Toad the Wet Sprocket
6) Gin Blossoms
7) Chris Isaak
8) Smashing Pumpkins
9) Matchbox Twenty
10) The Police

Can you tell I'm stuck in an early/mid-ninties music kick?

Right, after reading through everyone's list, I've missed some great bands/singers from my list.

1. ABBA
2. Beatles
3. Genesis
4. Kate Bush( Not a band)
5. No Doubt
6. U2
7. Enya ( not a band)
8. Pink Floyd
9. The Who
10. David Gray ( yes...not a band)

Any more more more. These are the artists I listen to the most though, and buy the most of probably. I also like Radiohead, but I also think after OK Computer, I just don't understand why they had to go so left field. I also really like Dido, but she is in hiding, same with my fav. Fiona Apple, but she is also just MIA. There are so many 80's and 70's bands I LOVE like Queen, Tears for Fears, Erasure, Joe Jackson, Eagles, Heart...but that would be in my top 20

If I just did BANDS then it would be

1. ABBA
2. Beatles
3. Genesis
4. No Doubt
5. U2
6. Pink Floyd
7. The Who
8. Queen
9. Eagles
10. Radiohead

Yay!!

In no particular order, really, except JA and ABBA definitely go at the top of this list. They'll flip flop, but I love them both dearly.

1. Jefferson Airplane. (Includes all incarnations, incl. Signe.. and when Grace was with Great Society. So.. GS/JA1/JA2/JS/Starship)
2. ABBA.
3. No Doubt
4. Mamas and the Papas (the fashion of passion i rationed with caution because of the notion the potion of passion had never been passed to me..)
5. The Beatles (Occasional Beatles burnout. Prefer 1967 & later.)
6. Blondie
7. Pink Floyd (After Syd.)
8. Dave Matthews (DMB Burnout occurs.. but they freakin' rule Live.)
9. Queen
10. Simon & Garfunkel

I limited myself to Bands.. cuz.. if you had said artists, it would have been damn near impossible. Possibly we can start a new solo-artist/group thread at some point.. cuz i didnt include like.. Musiq.. Stevie Wonder.. Outkast.. cuz they aren't really "bands,"even if they do have a backup band.
