The list isn't ****, it's just factual.

S Club 7 were one of those vocal pop groups that were so ubiquitous in the late 90s, when Backstreet Boys and 'N Sync were riding high. What made them slightly different from the pack was that 1) they were co-ed, and 2) they had their own young adult television show. Which I have to admit, I really enjoyed...

They were never all that popular in the US (although the television show was on ABC Family quite frequently), but they were huge in Britain.

This could make for an interesting side question in this thread: Are there any artists that you are such a big fan of, you own more or less their entire official catalogue, even the crappy stuff? (Let's limit it to artists who have been releasing records since 1990 or earlier, as obviously, it's pretty easy to own the entire catalogue of someone who's been making music only for a few years.)

My list:
~Fleetwood Mac (19 studio albums, 2 official live albums, 5 compilations - plus lots of other "unofficial" stuff)
~Bruce Springsteen (14 studio albums, 3 live albums, 1 live EP, 3 compilations)
~Elvis Costello (22 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 compilation)

Actively working on it:
~Tom Waits (12 studio albums, so far)
~The Beatles (9 albums, 3 compilations, so far)

Anyone else?

I currently own all or most of the catalog for:

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Fleetwood Mac
Stevie Nicks solo
Lindsey Buckingham solo
Billy Burnette solo
Walter Egan (and all of his bands - Malibooz, Brooklyn Cowboys, etc.)
Mamas and the Papas (but that's cheating because it's a box set)

I'm hoping to complete my collections of

John Stewart
Warren Zevon

I completely forgot to add these two, I always just associate them with Fleetwood Mac. Although lindsey barely counts with his paltry three albums in 25 years.

Hey, if it's got it all, it counts!

Yeah, but I had to put him in there anyway. Besides, two of those "paltry three" were released before 1990.

In addition to the three official studio albums, I also have Buckingham Nicks, Gift of Screws, and some live material and soundtrack releases.

As for Stevie, I have all of her solo albums, the Enchanted set, about a dozen cds worth of demos, B-sides and soundtrack releases, and a recording of one of her Arizona Heart Institute benefit shows.

Nice 'jack, jack.

I own the entire catalogues of:

Fleetwood Mac
Stevie Nicks
Joni Mitchell
Cowboy Junkies
Neil Young (oops, but I might be missing a few, I'll have to check...)
Emmylou Harris

These artists take up entire rows of my c.d. cases

You can add Christine McVie to my list.

I have her paltry three solo albums too. Also have a Chicken Shack album somewhere.

Nice idea

Almost everything from: (that's including solo-/side-projects, soundtrack songs, b-sides.. )

Fleetwood Mac
New Order (not in that top 500! Shame )
U2 (apart from the last album, that's when I lost my interest)
Eurythmics
Los Lobos

A little less than almost everything but still quite much:
Neil Young
Warren Zevon
Elvis Costello
Kate Bush
Tom Petty
Sheryl Crow (lost interest)
The Beach Boys
Joni Mitchell

I'm surprised I don't yet own a lot more from:
Talking Heads
The Pixies
Gram Parsons

Newer bands/artists I love so much that I have to mention them, I'll be keeping tabs on them for sure:
The Delays
Editors
Doves
Death Cab For Cutie
Ryan Adams

Must be forgetting loads, as usual

There's a lot of artists I own just one or two albums from, which I absolutely love, but I'm just not interested in their other stuff because, for example it sounds quite different (different era, producer, etcetera). Eager to mention them, but.. uh yeah, I'd be going on forever then.

Those who are mentioning Fleetwood Mac, do you really have everything, or just '75 onward as Jason mentioned? I didn't think there were that many who've got the whole she-bang (or at least not necessarily those who have posted).

I'm surprised no has mentioned Zeppelin yet, though I'm sure some will. They seem like such an easy one, with such a relatively small catalogue. I've got all of them up through Physical Graffiti, and I think that's enough for me.

There's also the folks like Joni, Neil, Dylan and Bowie - I've got a good chunk, and definitely am in the market for more, but I can't see myself buying everything they've put out.

(Mari, I've also got plenty of newer bands that I plan on keeping tabs on, but I don't want to mention them for fear of jinxing the whole deal! What if they end up putting out a couple of crappy records and I lose interest?)
