Been there as well. Where would they play though? Maybe I'll have to head over if they do both Dublin and Belfast.

Oh yes.. The Odyssey is my local I've seen some of my favourite gigs there.
Hmm, I can see them giving both Belfast and Dublin a whirl. But I aint getting my hopes up. Especially if they're also playing EP. We can't be greedy now, they mightn't come at all!

I'm seriously excited. Electric Picnic isn't the usual mental festival vibe. It's much more peaceful, surrounded by woodland. Truly magical
really? woah i must have some selective amnesia with those dates
maybe i just didn't hear anything about it
i know i saw the pics from the UK show

hmmm woodlands
i bet that must set the mood

ARLENE........minus your gross humidity, the Woodlands was my fave venue in my Mac ventures [not Stevie]. and the crowd. i bet it would have been way awesome in winter

Gah, I loved the Point aswell. Hmm, maybe they'd chance the RDS?
Ack! I'm really sorry to hear that. The Point was so perfect as far as I was concerned, the acoustics were pretty damn good everywhere and it felt so intimate. The place itself had so much charm and history to it, and now that it's been taken over by a company like o2... it's just lost something if you ask me.

Damn I'm optimistic that they'll announce other Irish dates, though. Keep the faith!

From Bray People, On The Beat:http://www.braypeople.ie/entertainme...t-1691613.html

March 30, 2009

Boutique festival ELECTRIC PICNIC, in Stradbally, Co. Laois on September 4,5 and 6, has changed personnel behind the scenes but still promises to deliver a unique festival experience at the tail end of the summer. Early-bird tickets for the Stradbally festival were released - and snapped up - last October and the remainder of the tickets go on sale this month. The Electric Picnic line-up will also be revealed shortly, but Fleetwood Mac, Fleet Foxes and Green Day are among the hotly-tipped to appear.

^^^ I'm very impressed that a tiny town like Bray has its own newspaper site online. Even more impressed that you tracked it down Michelle.

Thanks for the update. I await the definition of "shortly".. Typical Irish..

Line-up just announced,

not a sniff of the Mac. Not even close

Can't say I'm not shocked.
