Gold Dust Woman - "Rulers make bad lovers"
What I heard - "True loves make bad lovers"
(That totally defeats the purpose!)

Bleed To Love Her - "If this whole thing's gonna turn out right"
What I heard - "If this whole wheat's gonna turn out bright"

Come - "Lord, it was a little too strange"
What I heard - "Whoa, wasn't that what you say"
(Others have heard "Lord, it was a little goose train" and "Lord, it was a little goose range".)

I'm So Afraid - "So afraid, slip and I fall and I die"
What I heard - "So afraid to live and I fall and I die"

My Little Demon - "I really don't like it"
What I heard - "And me don't like it"

Second Hand News - "Someone who's gonna give you a piece of mind"
What I heard - "Someone who's gonna give you a kiss goodbye"

Goodbye Baby - "Don't forget me"
What I heard - "Don't fork at me"

Eyes of the World - "Back and forth, lies unfurl"
What I heard - (Extremely vulgar, I'm not gonna mention it here for the sake of the viewers.)

I also heard "She was just a witch" in Gypsy.

Well, that Little Caesar's guy did dress a little like Stevie in the early 80s, I suppose.

I had a friend who thought that "the final days of Mary Lee Jones" was "the final days of no religion."

Oh, and I thought that line in "Whenever I Call You Friend" was "Sweet love flowin' on a Saturday night."

Talking Misheard lyrics

That's funny - that's what she sang in Don't Stop on 10 Dec!!!

I hate to say this, but you mean that's not what he's saying? I always thought it was. What is the line then?

Here's the real deal:

"Sweet love showin' us a heavenly light
I've never seen such a beautiful sight
Sweet love flowin' on us every night."

Here's some more!

Edge of 17 - I went forth... with an age old...Desire... to please
Mine - I would f*** with an angel...desire to please

Gold Dust Woman - Rulers make bad lovers
Mine - Rumours make bad lovers
*When I first heard the song I didn't really like it but I thought that line was really deep and I thought that was why the album was called what it was*

Outside the Rain - Love is a word that some entertain/If you find it/You have won the game
Mine - Love is a word that's so irritating/ If you find it/You'd better roll again

I remember years ago a radio show I listen to was having people call in with misheard lyrics and this one guy called in with...

Second Hand News - "I'm just second hand news, yeahh"
He heard - "I'm just sittin' here nude, yeahh"

Talking Found some more...

Seven Wonders (For the life of me, I'll never know what the heck she's saying during this song)-
"All the way down to Emmiline"
I heard- "All the way down to nevermind".

Angel (Bob Welch)- "Angel, I want to see you..."
I heard: "Hey Joe..." Something along the lines of that.

Okay, this one's not mine, but a friend of mine had written out the words to Stand Back so she could sing along and she wrote:

"Like a weirdo, I can't dance", which should have been:

"Like a willow, I can bend", oh man I laughed 'til I cried.
