Maybe I'm the only person who thinks the instrument on "In My World" is a keyboard, and probably I'm wrong about that, but to my ears it is very clear that a piano comes in at 3:44 through the end of the song. Assuming Christine plays the keyboards on this new album, this means she's on the track, even if only a little. She might also be in that echoey vocal mix on the choruses. I agree with those who are wishing she had more of a presence on this first track.
Incidentally, I haven't purchased the track; I have been listening to it on Youtube. I don't suppose the Youtube track and the purchased audio file are any different?

Has it occurred to anyone that In My World could be about Steve not wanting to record?
In my world, everybody stays/nobody wishes for words they couldn't say She didn't stay with them in the studio and wishes she had the words to explain why but she's just doesn't. |

I'm still in no way convinced Chris is on this. A couple of notes played on a piano here and there doesn't suggest she's playing. In fact, I'd find that to be even worse than her not being on the track at all- the idea that she's on there but barely audible. I'd be downright offended if I was her and that was the case.

I'm a huge Lindsey fan, probably one of those who loves more his solo carrer than his output with the Mac, and well... this song is kinda boring. Lyrics wise nothing to say, but the song itself, well, in my opinion, it's barely an idea. The man is very good at dressing, producing, but when the song it's not there, here we have an empty, well produced, material.
Big Love was the template in terms of cadence and style; chorus is catchy, but it can't save the whole package. Nothing too exciting, at least for me. He could have extended the instrumental passages, or maybe reworked the entire verse structure, but I guess was his choice to go for a -three strums aka sound-
