Talking Stevie

I heard Stand Back last night in the Giant grocery store. My husband was talking to me when it started. And I said, "It's Stevie!" And he's just still talking away. I repeated, "It's Stevie! Did you hear me?" He said, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's Stevie, the black dress, I hear ya!" Of course I sang along for about three or four aisles.

Last week at Walmart (where I hate to shop), I heard SYLM. I don't think I've heard FM there before.

Saw an episode of "Chuck" last night with a cover of Second Hand News, it wasn't very good I wish they'd used the original.

I know it's technicly not FM, but I heard Gold on two different radio stations this morning. After one of them played the DJ said, "that's John Stewart." He didn't even mention Stevie. I mean really, who is the bigger star here?

Go Your Own Way from Live In Boston was blasting through the speakers when I walked into Tyler's last weekend. Tyler's is a local Austin clothing store. It's the first time in a while where I've been surprised to hear a Mac song. Mainly because the only time I've heard anything from Live In Boston, I was the one playing it.

The jocks never mention Stevie when "Gold" gets played on the radio.

Here in Perth, Western Australia the disc jockeys always mention Stevie's name when they play "GOLD", because she is more famous over here than John Stewart. Some of the older DJ's remember the New Christy Minstrals
but the younger ones only know of Stevie!
