As long as Irving Azoff is the manager for these two bands, the double-bill tour will never be completely off the table.

Fleetwoodmac.com says check back soon for more details on the upcoming tour. They erased all the old tour dates and put up that message. Spring/Summer tour?

The old dates are still on the home page, however.

I'll be one to completely get excited about this possibility.

Assuming this actually happens,

1. Let's hope Fleetwood Mac goes second.

2. There's a ton of drama

3. We can actually have the opportunity to watch Fleetwood Mac outside with 70,000 other people. What an experience that would be.

4. And I'll say it, it's a great chance for Fleetwood Mac to come out "on top" at the end of the concert. After the last year of touring, I don't think there's anyone in either band melting faces like Buckingham.

With all that being said, I should probably go take out a second mortgage to buy a ticket.

This morning's Sunday Times ( Seattle ) has a full page ad announcing the Eagles"Long Road Out of Eden World Tour 2010". Advanced tix through American Express. It includes an actual date for the Seattle show ( May 13th ).

Touring for a CD released 2 years ago?? Anyways, no mention of Fleetwood Mac. For the record, I'm of the belief that all the buzz for FM's shows is re-reports of the extra shows added to the Unleashed tour last year...and nothing more.

What's the benefit of having them second?

Well just from the double header shows I've seen, the second band gets the slot when the sun's down, which on a basic level works better for FM. The stage effects are more prominent that way too. Plus, and I've never seen the Eagles so it's speculation, but I think the Mac's end set is better for closing out the whole show.

i kinda feel like the Eagles KNOW they're awesome......
....Fleetwood Mac has been rather on a low-profile the last couple years..

Haha...brother (Jim)

No, the Eagles ARE awesome. I just think a combined show would suck in every way. Shortened sets (aka all the fun songs of the Unleashed Tour are cut), Fleetwood Mac as an opening act (gahhh), ticket prices through the roof, and not being able to lean right against the stage!! I really hope it doesn't happen. I had to see Don Henley once...that was enough.

I agree. I'd want to pay to see Fleetwood Mac... I don't listen to the Eagles

The shortened sets are the worst bit, and the bands tend to play 'greatest hits' material, to please both audiences. This happened with Pat Benatar and Blondie last summer.

I'm pretty sure FM will pimp themselves out for poorly attended 30-ish date North America shed tour this summer. A terrible idea, strategically, but what else is new?

i haven't really heard any reports/reviews about recent Eagles shows but i don't think i'd be interested in seeing them without Don Felder on guitar. that would be like Fleetwood Mac without Lindsey Buckingham.
