Thanks Suzy, that's very kind of you!

I like lots of the pictures you post too and the stories with them are always interesting - so keep posting them. Taking photographs of cats is difficult I think. On one of the photography courses I went on, they encouraged us to buy a polypropilene cover (most photography websites sell them) and then put the cat on it. The cover absorbs alot of the light that is reflected off the cat's fur and gives the cat better definition. However, your cats look beautiful anyway.

The following are similar to the one you posted from the web. It is from a set I did last year for a competition. A couple of people will have already seen them.

There are 24 in total but probably these give you an idea.

These are beautiful. I've always wanted to do close-ups of Mufasa's face because his markings and green eyes are so striking. This cat is gorgeous.

Do they sell these polypropilene covers with glue on one side too?
The problem with taking photo's of cats is that they just will not keep still !
(and i assume it's the same for dogs). Each time i have myself positioned on the floor, they come bouncing up to me to get a close look at the camera. And when i want to take a pic close by with the macro function; they push the lens away with their paws. But i keep taking pictures and every so often one turns out nice. And thanks to this thread, and your pictures, i have finally taken the time to check out my manual and found that huray ; my camera does take black and white and even sepia too ! So look out 'cause i'll be coming back here with b/w's

and btw : that first pic is adorable !

.....yes but most cats I know want to sleep as soon as they have eaten. The best strategy is to feed them full of food and turn up the central heating. That way you have a chance!

Is that really BarbRA? Or is it a photoshop job? Either way, it's scaring me.

And hello, Blue Lamp 64.
