We got report cards today... 4.o, baby! I'd die if I got anything less haha, I've had straight As since 7th grade! (In 6th grade I got a C in spelling... don't ask. Please.)

But yesterday my day was super ****ty! First, I spit my contacts down the drain. No, that was not a typo.

And then later that night I was flossing (I've had braces for 4 years. ) and I got the stupid flosser thing stuck in my braces. My mom had to get it out with tweezers, and then I was bleeding all over so I just stopped flossing all together.

To make matters worse, I used this new mint floss last night, so when I went to take my contacts out, I burned my eyes from the mint. Ow.

Well done! Being from the UK my knowledge of grade averages comes from ''Leagally Blonde'', when someone tells Elle she'll need a ''4.0 grade average to get into Harvad Law''. So I take it to mean you're really, really smart!

This is definitely my favorite Christine song pre-1975.
Absolutely love the lyrics and the music. So beautiful.
One of my good friends (coincidentally named Elle) made that! It is beautiful. "Why" is my all time favourite Christine song, I love all of her songs on "Mystery to Me".

This pisses me off. I can completely understand sharing and trading these demos, because they've already been 'stolen' and ciruclated. But, seriously? Burning a CD w/ demos, putting it in a cheap case, and making cover artwork for it? Now I know why some people are more timid to share than others. I think I will be a bit more careful about what I share, and with whom. This seller has a number of bootleg DVDs and other CDs too. Please correct me if I'm on the wrong track, and these have been commercially available before? And if Stevie/FM will get anything out of this sale?

Oh. Wait. They're donating FIVE PERCENT of the proceeds to WRAH. A whole what, $.50? $1.00?

I'll probably delete this later, and I really shouldn't post stuff like this, because I know this is a very sensitive topic, but PLEASE do not buy anything like this off of eBay, or pay any money for it! There are plenty of people here, including myself, who are more than willing to help you out. Ugh. Angry mostly likely discombobulated or however you spell it rant ends here.

I didn't realize that you were from the UK! I'm already jealous of your accent, and I've never heard you speak. And thanks, you're too kind, always handing out compliments and stuff! A 4.0 is the highest grade I can get because I'm not taking weighted classes or anything, but let's not get into that!

Oh, and what's the grading scale like over there? I've always wondered. I don't get the year thing either, like what US grade level would Year 10 be equivalent to? I'm assuming Softmore, but maybe not?

How come you "can't fix it?"
That doesn't make sense to me.

And hey, it only gets worse. Now it's "UH-oh, how do I fix this - I can't!!!"
Fast-forward 12 years and POTUS is gonna be saying to you,
"FIX this - - - NOW!!!" But cheer up, you'll get to call her
"Hellary" behind her back. . . . .

Sigh. They don't let you edit the common application once you've sent it to a school, but there's this long and tedious process that they don't advertise whatsoever that basically lets you create up to 10 different applications on the same username. And when I said not advertised, I mean I had to call the organization and have them give me secret codes and things so I could do it.

Ugh. This week needs to be over! haha but I am SO glad it worked out.

I've had 8 dates with Juan, spanning one month now. He was here earlier and brought some dirty laundry for me to wash for him. He's coming back over on Tuesday. He called Friday night wondering why I was late picking him up. I told him we never made plans for Friday night. So we got together today. He expected to stay longer but I had a dinner date with my mom and a friend of ours. Next weekend he'll probably stay longer. We'll watch a movie together and cuddle.

Boston University is an awesome, awesome school. I was accepted but we couldn't afford it. SUNY Buffalo was my backup school so I ended up going there instead. It's actually a pretty good school if I do say so myself.

But yeah, Boston University is a WAY good school i.m.o.
Except I've heard many people say that it's gotten HUGELY Conservative.

Colgate is also one helluva fine school. I've seen their campus, it's BEAUTIFUL!

P.S. - One thing I'd like to suggest -

I'd spend a LOT of time thinking about whether you want to spend 4, 5 years of college at a BIG school or a SMALL school. It really does make a HUGE difference - it's night and day. SUNY Buffalo for example had like 25,000 students and it's only gotten bigger. The expectations were VERY high and the biology and math classes were VERY rigorous. That's both good and bad in a way. Many people felt "lost" there because it was so big. But small schools have their pluses and minuses too. i.m.o. it's a completely differenct experience, between a small school and a large one; and it's worth really spending a lot of time mulling over. In my opinion, that's actually the most important choice - maybe even more important than which specific school you choose to go to.

For me, I'm just focused on escaping from what I've experience up until this point. I want something huge or something tiny, a really rural school or a really urban school. I've been in mid-size Catholic schools in suburbia for the majority of my life (minus the year I was kinda homeschooled-- long story) and I just need a change. But yes, Tim, I think you're right-- which is why I'll be spending a lot of time visiting each campus once I have my list of acceptances.

:/ so stressful!
