The Last Samurai was quite a bomb. As was Magnolia, but no one expected that to do blockbuster business (and I love that movie). Minority Report did rather lackluster business for a Cruise and Spielberg effort. He's currently in trouble with Paramount over Mission Impossible III because he wants a budget of almost $250 million. And they don't even have a script yet.

meh, i don't really think of those as bombs. Last Samurai got good reviews, so.... ha, 250 million dollar budget! I think they could turn it in for a little cheaper than that, but if i was tom cruise, probably the best selling movie star for the longest time ever I might have some demands, too.

Anything that doesn't make $100 million with the Tom Crusie moniker attached is a bust. The Last Samurai barely recouped it's budget.

You'd think that after all these years the married gambit would stop working for these guys ya know? I mean Rock Hudson was married for a bit...and umm..well he's the one I know most about...

Anyway - yeah this article was talking about a leading hollywood man who was hitting on all sorts of boys on a set - but people starting talking - so they got his wife on location with him - and they were then totally all over each other (in attempt to squelch gay rumours...)...I was dying to know who they were talking about...haha..I'm finding this thread highly entertaining....
