Thanks. I found 24 peckerheads, and 1 big morel, today.

I just had the best dinner!!!!
Scrambled eggs scampi(which I just invented...I had shrimp scampi a couple of nights ago, and there was a bunch of leftover scampi sauce, so I saved it- I put in about a tablespoon of it, and they were the best eggs ever - MUST remember to do it again!)
About 15 mushrooms, dipped in egg, flour, and fried.
2 slices of bacon.
1 piece of white bread and butter(tradition in my family, that bread and butter goes with fried mushrooms- even though I generally don't eat bread anymore).

Hey, you mentioned before how you loved that Blue Stilton cheese - have you tried Stilton Stuffed Mushrooms?

You just need some big open cap mushrooms, plonk in a big dollop of Blue Stilton in each one, and just bake in the oven! Fantastic.

Well, f*ck me with a chainsaw!!!!!!!

That sounds like the most orgasmic dish ever!

I'm a blue cheese WHORE. The only way I got through my weight loss, and sticking with those fukcing salads, is that I always put REAL(no light crap here) blue cheese dressing on it.
That Stilton is the fukcing bomb!

On a hotness scale of 5, I almost always order 5! So jealous!
I think we share the same taste buds!

I've got a heat problem....I, quite literally, put either:
sweet chili sauce
red pepper flake
ground red pepper
wasabi powder
Frank's Red Hot sauce
Taquira(sp) hot sauce
jalepenos
seeds from poblano peppers, that I process in vinegar and a tiny bit of oil, to preserve,

ON EVERYTHING I EAT.
I'm a spicy food ADDICT.

Obviously this is last night's feast as I don't think I could have even typed Canapé last night.

A very good friend of mine organised a Cocktail and Canapé night for her hospitality course, raising money for a local hospice. Of course, I went along with two other good friends to support her. She'd designed all of the canapés herself, cooked them and concocted the cocktails.

Before I left I had a Falafel and spinach burger with pesto on top, carrots and new potatoes. When I got there, I had Italian bread with cheese and chive dip, vegetable samosas and vegetable spring rolls. Then for the main it was fish and chip canapés and red onion sautéed in red wine served on tiny pastry dishes and then dessert was raspberry meringue then mint creams half dipped in chocolate and then shortbread.

Yum. Yum.

I think we do!

I tend to put hot curry/hot chilli/hot paprika and other spices in dishes that you would think they'd never be right - but boy oh boy do they ever enhance them!

If I remember rightly we are both seafood freaks as well

It's now official...we have twin taste buds!
I can now tolerate eating a vegetarian meal, once or twice a week now. I've learned how to use spices, to compensate for not having a slab of CARCASS on my plate!
Plain stir-fry veggies, can now be my entree, as long as I've enhanced them with red curry, or ANY curry(I use red, green, and yellow, just depending on my mood). My two slices of bacon, were my only meat intake, yesterday. I do love a taste of it!
My latest spice though, is cheap as sh*t. I bought some finely ground red pepper, at Big Lots, and you can really melt yourself with it! It's awesome.

And yes, on the seafood, too. I don't know that I've ever tasted any seafood, that I didn't LOVE!
If weight weren't an issue, I could eat every meal at Red Lobster, for the rest of my life!

Thank you, thank you, thank you, for mentioning Red Lobster - it's brought back some great memories of our trips to the USA, we ate there A LOT whenever we found one!
