I was referring to which version of the song. It has been sung by many, but the defining ones are Patti Lupone (original American cast recording) - Eliane Paige (original London cast recording) and Madonna (theatrical release).

IMO - Sineaud O'Conner also did a good cover - but nothing like the three I mentioned.

I like Madonna's version. It is much sweeter than Lupone's - Lupone played that role like the guttersnipe FROM HELL and had the powerhouse voice to back it up. If you get a chance, listen to her version
