I, again, am torn. I think she's a bitch, a perfectionist and all that, I also know all the great things she's done for charities and all that too. so, I just prefer to not really care one way or the other about her personal life...not like I am with Stevie. for me, with Barbra, it's the albums and the movies...
Thats the way I tend to view her too. I mean she hasnt killed anyone and isnt a terrorist, so she cant be all bad right?

the only thing I like that Striesand's done is her role in Meet the Fochers, she was extremely funny in that. What the hell is so great about this woman that she can charge 700-1000 dollar tickets and still have people go. I don't think we can ever complain about Stevie or the Mac charging 125 ever agian. At least 125 is worth it to see Fleetwood Mac.

I agree with you on the prices, but you haev to realize its how rarely she tours that factors into it. Unfortunately its what the market will bear.

And considering Babs could hear the guy from the stage...I'm guessing he was pretty damn close...and at MSG? that's quite the pricey ticket - you make a good point.

Also a good point....at least she didn't ask him to leave....

I was at an Ani DiFranco concert in Phoenix several years ago, and some chick in the second row flipped someone off a few rows back, Ani stopped playing and told the chick to leave...

I was like WTF!?! SHe wasn't even being disruptive I didn't like her then (free ticket) and I liked her even less after that...

Not that that has anything to do with the topic at hand - but still.

Where is that high-five smiley...

Seriously - I was about to walk out at that point, the concert was so boring - but I stayed because unfortunately my ride was not moving due to her love for Ani. Blah.

Anyway - I've thought about it - this guy MUST have known about Bab's political views and how outspoken/passionate she is. So he shelled out big bucks - but what the hell was he expecting? So he deserved a "shut the **** up"

1. Her talent is immense.

2. The market will pay what it will pay and this broad travels with a how many piece orchestra

3. Does anyone really think that Babs is not gonna comment on something political - if so, they are an idiot.

4. She a New York Jewish Woman - trust me, if the guy was from NYC, he thought nothing of being told to FUKC OFF

I agree though - shut up and sing - perhaps pepper it with cool stories about your life, etc. But, the political shiitte was way over the top - I mean that took the place of something else for the $700

I love me some Barbra, but sometimes, like the Dixie Chicks' song says..."shut up and sing" - I mean I'm torn about how I feel about this aspect of my beloved...but sometimes enough is enough. don't polute the concert with politics...that's what I'm sayin

now, I'm off to find the setlist and see if I can scurry boots.
I applaud her politics. Yes I do. it makes her high maintenance BS bearable.
